I have a theory that these out of bounds items are actually stuff that spawns inside barrels and box. Usually they're empty, but when Leon breaks one, the game makes one of these items show up inside the barrel/box. And Ada's shotgun? I've seen a video showing that the box was supposedly meant to be homing mine-darts (like the ones you get when you get the Mine Thrower's exclusive upgrade). Why it was changed into Ada's shotgun, I have no idea. Maybe it's a game glitch.
My theory is that "Ammo box" was for "Ada's Shotgun Ammo", i mean Ada's shotgun originally have a different kind of shotgun ammo maybe? hence that's why the image was an "Ammo box" not an "Ada's Shotgun".
That floating letter caught my attention when I tried the farm out of bounds glitch during highschool...then retried again during college. Literally has no "read" prompt. I thought it was left as a debugger or sorts. Some says it's a replica of the medals notice.
Guess the most logical reason why they are there is to use them as generators. Like when you eliminate an enemy and they drop any item, they are generated from that pile of items outside the maps.
@@VickyDhaun Lol, I didn't think of it that way. Also, in the GameCube version where Separate Ways mode didn't exist yet, that shotgun doesn't appear, but rather some strange mine-launcher ammo.
Strange part is why is same set of items in almost every area of village, along with shotgun and mine ammo. Its probably carried thru every area, and just disabled since its not used not even in Ada's quest line since she has that shotgun from start. These kind of things usually in other games are merchant's stock, but same low quantity item bundle with no merchant around just sounds like some thing which is left and not used. Unlike dirty pocket watch, which probably disappers after you shoot it down without shooting lid first, and teleports to well.
Have you ever imagined what it would be like if there was a "limbo" in real life? And if so, it would probably be the biggest tourist spot in the world.
Its really amazing and crazy that every section of the village has items out of bounds! Will never know the purpose of those items even we can't reach them by normal means, RE4 still has a lot secrets even almost 20 years of been released!👌😯😁😎🙏🙌
These items below ground are actually loadouts of items that appear, like dirty pearl pedant, when you shoot him down and collect it, one that its underground probably disappers. Some games use that tech, especially Serious sam 1, if you travels into ground you will find all sort of things, like group of enemies in huge box, teleporter near ground where enemies probably run into to get teleported in battlefield etc. Yet, it is strange why did they put same bundle of items in different areas of village, along with mine ammo and Ada's shotgun which looks like some huge ammo box
You missed one place which is where the Merchant at the other side of the lake after the Del Lago boss fight. I remember finding it back in 2016 on the Ultimate HD version 😪
I think the Dirty Pearl Pendant is left there on purpose. If the player shoots the Pearl Pendant into the disgusting water, it will take over the spot of the Pearl Pendant. I don’t know what will happen if it is shot into the dirty water. Will the Dirty Pearl Pendant still be in the void?
That's what I thought as well. I guess it was easier to just leave them instead of removing them or making them invisible and unable to interact with them.
Probably Devs wanted to add them but then they might thought adding these more things will overkill the challenges in current game so they left under the map & then forgot to remove them at release OR left these items for us to realize that this game could had more stuff like weapons, enemies & maps if that time gaming engine & hardware were much better. That's my thinking.
@@boyreygaming I think they work as source of items to generate. When you kill an enemy, or break a barrel/box, it's randomly created from the pile. I've seen that in Metro Exodus too. He can equip it, but it looks and functions like the 1st shotgun you get in the game. Leon doesn't have the proper animations or model to use Ada's shotgun.
Almost two decades old, and with a Remake easily accessible, the original Resident Evil 4 continues to fascinate and impress me.

Even after all these years we still finding a lot of new things in this game.
Resident Evil 4 truly is one of the greatest of all time.

You never get Ada's shotgun though or any gun when you kill the zombies. So your logic doesn't work

These are items' enemies drop in each location. Each is allocated a different value and spawn probability depending on your difficulty playthrough

I wonder if after looting these items do enemies and loot containers for that area still spawn items.

But all shotguns act like the cabin shotgun.
why the f*ck would Ada drop too many shotguns with other stuff in the middle of the void

Is there a barrier breaking glitch for this? Or can you only get out by no clip?
Is there something like that (pile of items) in the mercenaries?
Wait… that’s Ada’s shotgun from Separate Ways. So doesn’t that mean it was added after GameCube?
I figured it out, it will disappear if you get the medallion file
Seriously there's a random thing underneath the map?
