This video brings back a happy memory. We did this drive but the other way, from Monaco to Nice Cote d azur . Beautiful! A very relaxed drive. We should’ve continue to Cannes which is maybe another 20 to 30 minutes drive. Wish I can go back. Been to Monaco 3 times but I will never get tired seeing that place.
I loved Nice, Monaco and almost every part of the Côte d'Azur, but Cannes was disappointing. Le Suquet (the medieval heart of the city, a bit inland) was fairly quaint, but the whole Croisette area along the beach was downright tacky, full of bling-bling and wannabes whoring for attention. I much preferred places like Saint-Paul de Vence, Antibes, down-to-earth Vallauris or the old parts of Cagnes-sur-Mer.
A friend and I used to rent a little studette on the Blvd Moulins in Monte Carlo. I really love Monaco, so small and charming and affluent. Merci beaucoup
