I have always been independent and never wanted to date in high school and I was strict on dating/boys but when I got to college, I met my first love(aka my bf). I had been on dates but after meeting my bf, I knew he was the one since we got along so well and he would go the extra mile just to make me smile. Now that I'm back home, were in a long distance relationship but we're still going strong after 2 years! :) I do believe that being single is great because you get to learn more about yourself and grow as an individual so I say enjoy your time now and when the time is right, God will lead you to the perfect one!
I'm finishing up my senior year of college and I am currently single! Sometimes it's really hard because all of my friends have serious boyfriends or are engaged, it's hard because of course I'd love to have found my person. I got married when I was 20 and it was the greatest decision for us personally. My husband and I started from nothing, and now we are pretty successful and I don’t think we could have gotten here without each other. I know that a lot of people feel as if you’re twenties are a time for you to travel and explore and to find yourself, but my husband and I have done that together. I was dating my now husband for four years, he proposed to me when I was 17. I got married 2 days after I turned 18. I’m from SF not the south or anything so a lot of people were shook! That being said I graduated from high school when I was 15. Started college at 15, and am now 19 and graduating from college. Realized I don’t love what I studied so I’ll be going to beauty school to get my esthetician license! It’s a journey. I’m blessed to have met my husband so young and to have someone who supports me in my life. He always encourages me to chase my dreams. I’m selfish with my education and career path... but so is he! We always support each other, and if we have to do long distance for a while then so be it. I’ve changed a lot throughout the years and so has my husband, it’s important to change together and for the better. We make it work, I truly am blessed!

lol i clearly endorse getting married young if you want because i’ll be 22 when i get married, but also i think waiting is good for some people. at this point in our lives there’s no point in us waiting to get married and getting married young gives us a chance to grow up together and i’m really excited about doing that!!

But now that I'm here (22 years old currently)-- agreed! I even have a very serious boyfriend of about 5 years, but I don't want to get married or have kids yet. Well and here I am, being 20 and single for literally all my life. Never dated someone and I’m like the inexperienced person on earth. It’s not that I never had a crush - I had many. Some of them were so intensive that I didn’t get over it for years. But every time someone had interest in me I wasn’t able to return these feelings. Most of the time I wanted a boyfriend so badly and I was jealous of all my friends finding their partner. But I came to a point in my life at which I realised that I had so much to discover and there was so much yet to see. I had time to finish school with the best results I could have imagined, I spent six months in New Zealand with my bestie and now I’m studying my fave subject for which I studied so hard at school. I had the opportunity to understand who I am and what I want in my life. I am independent and so glad that I had so much time for myself. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have a boyfriend. Growing up in NC I felt like getting married young was the norm but after moving to Boston for college my opinions have definitely changed and I can’t imagine being married before 26-30 because there’s so much I want to do and accomplish on my own. I think it’s just weird seeing the cultural difference between the two cities and reflecting on how it’s changed me as a person.

I think it's really important to identify who you are as a person before jumping into a relationship. Personally, I got married once my career was established. However, there are friends of mine who have also constructed the argument that their spouse encouraged them into their careers today and also helped them grow into/become comfortable of the person they truly are. So there are always two perspectives and it all just depends on the individual and their life path!
I'm 22 as well, and totally understand you. I have plenty of friends getting engaged and married too, sometimes it does make me feel behind and that I'm stuck especially when I'm feeling a bit depressed, but at the same time I know that I'm not ready to settle down just yet. I know most of people who watch and comment on your videos are women, but I would like to offer a males point of view. As I am about to be a college graduate in a few months (may 2020), I think it’s important to be open to whatever God brings your way. We should really be focusing creating new experiences for our lives and accomplishing the goals we set out for our lives and careers. In the twenties I believe to move to a new city, try to start a business or two and don’t be afraid to fail in the process. I do believe however the things you want to accomplish should not stop because of the fact that you are dating someone. If the person your dating (in my case women) don’t encourage you to chase and smash that dream/goal, then you shouldn’t be dating them or worse marrying them. Also if that person is not motivating you through their actions, words, thoughts and spiritual leadership there is not future. Simply put if you can’t get inspired by their everyday actions, gently kick em to the curb. Our 20s and onwards should be a time of growth and accomplishment. We should also never forget to continually nurture the family relationships and friendships we have with the real ones in our lives.

I am watching during a study break. Thank God, all my friends and co-workers are in a romantic relationship or are getting married. I have plenty of friends getting engaged and married too, sometimes it does make me feel behind and that I'm stuck especially when I'm feeling a bit depressed, but at the same time I know that I'm not ready to settle down just yet. I still want to do so many things that would be selfish of me to do if I'm already married.

I feel the same way! I’m currently 23 & I’m doing me. I’m in the first year of my program & it’s honestly the hardest semester I’ve never had but at the same time, I love it. Before I didn’t want to have a boyfriend & I wanted to be super selfish but I met someone that made me realize it’s okay to have a boyfriend, you can build each other up. I learned to love myself first before I can love someone else & I feel like that was one of the most important lessons I learned so far. I do know people that I went to high school that are younger & are married & I believe if you get married young & it works then that’s amazing but to me, I have no rush to be married. I am 31 about to turn 32! I met my husband at 19. We got married when I was 23. We’ve been together 13 years and have been married for 8 and a half. I just knew he was the one. I partied and did all that with fake ids before I even hit 21. By 21 I was a mom and we were settled. Bought a house at 22. Every situation is different. I always knew I wanted a family young but if you would have asked me the year before when I was partying you would never know it lol

I just recently started dating ever since I turned 21 and I've learned so much about what I want in a boyfriend/significant other. I think that it definitely depends on the person to decide whether or not marrying early is right for them. For me personally, I don't think I'll be getting married any time soon. Ideally, I'd like to get married when I turn 26 but you never know what the future holds!

my only real advice for moving to NYC after having lived here for 4 years: save ALL THE MONEY before coming here! ALLLLL THE MONIESSSSS. having enough saved up for random expenses will make everything so so much easier.

I know most of people who watch and comment on your videos are women, but I would like to offer a males point of view.
As I am about to be a college graduate in a few months (may 2020), I think it’s important to be open to whatever God brings your way. We should really be focusing creating new experiences for our lives and accomplishing the goals we set out for our lives and careers. In the twenties I believe to move to a new city, try to start a business or two and don’t be afraid to fail in the process.
I do believe however the things you want to accomplish should not stop because of the fact that you are dating someone. If the person your dating (in my case women) don’t encourage you to chase and smash that dream/goal, then you shouldn’t be dating them or worse marrying them.
Also if that person is not motivating you through their actions, words, thoughts and spiritual leadership there is not future. Simply put if you can’t get inspired by their everyday actions, gently kick em to the curb.
Our 20s and onwards should be a time of growth and accomplishment. We should also never forget to continually nurture the family relationships and friendships we have with the real ones in our lives.

Also it really takes like a huge responsibility of course to eventually get married and start a family and I dont think i am physically, emotionally, financially ready for it. I am watching during a study break. Thank God, all my friends and co-workers are in a romantic relationship or are getting married. I was thinking of becoming an influencer, I had the same thoughts and similar conclusions. I have been single for a long time. I really do not care, I am just waiting for when I am ready for a romantic relationship.
