A lady I work with is Chinese. She grew up Taoist and later in life she started practicing Pure land Buddhism. She combines Taoism with Pure land Buddhism, in her daily practice. She says she does Taoism prayers in the morning and Pure land Buddhism during the day . Is this ok to do this? , or could it affect the Pure Land practice. Her approach to practice is a personal choice, the key is developing right view in Buddhism. If her Taoist practices bring her peace of mind, it should not negatively impact her goal of rebirth in the Pure Land.
