Either way, basket interference doesn't occur when swatting the net unless it either causes the ball to have an unnatural bounce, or if moving the net while the ball is in the net causes it not to clear the basket. No interference for swatting net while ball is in the cylinder unless it were to move the rim as well.
If the ball is still within the cylinder of the rim its is a basket interference the ball would’ve hit the rim if it came down before town tried to put it back.. I can tell u don’t know the rules to basketball
