I always liked how he genuinely seems to enjoy himself playing Rad Racer. Like the combination of the Power Glove and 3D glasses is just so awesomely 80s that even the guy whose entire persona is being angry can’t help but love it.
Years went by, as a young teen I watched AVGN. Today, 12 years later, I come back and occasionally will buy a few rolling rock and watch some AVGN. It's lovely when the lights are off, the windows are open and you can hear the crickets and frogs late at night

This is the video that introduced me to the Angry Video Game Nerd. Eleven years ago, I was searching TV Tropes and this video (particularly AVGN's epic rant at 12:00) was mentioned under the Web Videos /Cluster F Bomb page. Out of curiosity I clicked on the video link, and I have been hooked ever since.
I remember an old movie where kids go to some kind of "video game championship" and one of the "villains" was a pro that played some random NES racing perfectly with one of these Power Gloves...
But ok, it was just a movie and, in fact, this glove really could be a bit clunky and messed up, but like ANY move sensor (Kinect, PS Move and the own Wii sensors), theres a correct distance and environment care you need to have for a better use of it (which i believe many people that tried this in the long of all this years don't have figured).
I can honestly say if they made a remake of this controler I'm sure it would be 90 times better and more usable. I mean look what microsoft did with the kinect. I'm pretty sure if someone took the power glove and remade it, it could be usable.

This is the video that introduced me to the Angry Video Game Nerd. Eleven years ago, I was searching TV Tropes and this video (particularly AVGN's epic rant at 12:00) was mentioned under the Web Videos /Cluster F Bomb page. Out of curiosity I clicked on the video link, and I have been hooked ever since.
Back when he was called angry Nintendo nerd, the days has gone by so quickly.

The power glove actually does shockingly well with racing games.
I remember an old movie where kids go to some kind of "video game championship" and one of the "villains" was a pro that played some random NES racing perfectly with one of these Power Gloves...
But ok, it was just a movie and, in fact, this glove really could be a bit clunky and messed up, but like ANY move sensor (Kinect, PS Move and the own Wii sensors), theres a correct distance and environment care you need to have for a better use of it (which i believe many people that tried this in the long of all this years don't have figured).

I can honestly say if they made a remake of this controler I'm sure it would be 90 times better and more usable. I mean look what microsoft did with the kinect. I'm pretty sure if someone took the power glove and remade it, it could be usable.
