Raven Symone is unmatched when it comes to comedy. Something about her expressions, body language and delivery is so unique, amongst other Disney Channel actors and actresses.
Exactly! She was so natural with her delivery. The stars after her act unnaturally over the top. Even when Raven was being over the top, it was actually funny and not cringeworthy. She really is something special. Glad I got to grow up watching her!

Most Disney Channel shows are terrible, in my opinion, but That's So Raven and Wizards of Waverly place were great. The actors were all good and the shows were just over the top and super entertaining.

Growing up, l wanted Raven's wardrobe so bad! My girl always looked so damn good!
Raven’s physical comedy is off the charts, her comedic timing perfection. This show was amazing.
A gifted actress, such a charisma, naturally hilarious! That's so raven has been and is still my favorite show.
I also loved how the actors portrayed her parents. A loving, warm, cool family. Nothing can cheer me up more than watching the show when I feel depressed.
I know right. I always watch episodes of this show on my iPad. Never get tired of it.
The explanation of the episode "Going Hollywood" serving as a pilot for Hannah Montana makes sooo much sense to me now. I remember not liking the episode since it seemed to focus more on the child actress rather than the main cast- I wished they had at least incorporated Corey more by having him 'teach' her about being a normal kid, maybe even having her go to his school so he can see the vast different to how she's treated on set vs in public school, or getting popular due to her celebrity status & asking her to help him get an acting gig so he can make it big too.
I get they did this on That's So Raven as it was popular and to test the pilot idea on the audience they were looking to aim the show at, but it would've been better to give it it's own air time rather than sharing it with another show. I couldn't find myself thinking "wow, I really like this girl's character, I want to see what else she gets up to after this" instead it was more along the lines of, "why isn't Corey involved in this more if this is *his* episode? Why did they change the main story from Corey getting to be on tv to a famous girl wanting to go to public school?"
Don't get me wrong, I loved Hannah Montana but I don't think this is the way to air a pilot/new show idea.
I recently rewatched the "Better Days" episode and I knew it had to be a pilot for something else but didn't realize it when I was younger. Didn't know it became Hannah Montana though!
The could have easily That's So Raven and Saved by the Bell in the same universe.

I read a few months ago that the reason that Raven Symone looked a lot darker on That's So Raven compared to Raven's Home is because she was pressured by Disney to go to a tanning salon every few weeks because they told that her being darker would be more appealing to viewers and it made her look more beautiful. That's sad that Disney would do that.

Bc now ppl made it seem like she was bleaching to look lighter to be more beautiful and its confusing af to black kids bc we had ppl telling us lighter was better and beautiful and she had ppl saying darker was beautiful and its like nigga why can't i just b beautiful

Because Raven is mixed and is ‘too light’ to be black, and they would rather use someone light and paint them darker than actually use a dark black girl...

That's so Raven was such a good show , it's was funny , good casting and best theme song.
At 4:52, this episode is one of my number one favorite That's So Raven episodes.
I remembered watching a behind-the-scenes mini documentary on Disney Channel, of how this episode was made. And I thought it was very funny, because Raven actually played the entire family. And after that I had to watch the episode, and later on I did. I thought it was one of the greatest That's So Raven episodes, and should I say the most hilarious one. Because Raven played every single character throughout the episode.
I also thought it kind of reminded me of all of the movies or one of the movies of The Nutty Professor starring Eddie Murphy, because I remembered in all the movies or one of them. Eddie Murphy actually played every single character.
I'm sure that's where they got the influence to make this episode of That So Raven
I’ve always wondered why the mom wasn’t around for the final season, very sad to hear :( shows how important family is and that you should cherish every moment with them

I admire Raven's strength, it's not easy being a lighter skinned black person especially when people confuse "what" you are, in high school I tanned due to band and people thought that I was Mexican until I started tanning. I still deal with colorism but it's good to know that even role models struggle with the same issues.
Maybe it was people of her own race who was speaking against her. She doesn't mention either way, so her choice of words could be accurate.
I've had this problem too. I'm Puerto Rican and black, but because of my lighter skin, people mistake me for white all the time

The woman who played her was actually a former cast member of Living Color along side T’Keyah Crystal Keymah .

That's so raven was my fave show as a kid. I remember when they came out with a that's so raven clothing line. I had a few pieces. I use to try to do some of her hair styles and say "oh snap" the way she did. I even wanted to be a fashion designer at one point in my life because of her character! I wanted to be her so bad lol. Now I'm a mom of two daughters and I got my 8 year old into that's so raven and I also watch raven's home with them and it's funny watching this show as a mom and raven's character being a mom. This show will always have a special place in my heart, there was no other show like it and never will be.

Going Hollywood wouldn't have been such a hot idea. A Child Star living a normal life is kind of lame. What made Hannah Montana was that Miley was STILL a Famous Pop Star at night and in the morning lived a normal life in the daytime. THAT'S a good idea for a show.
The “That’s so Raven” title was perfect! I think this was Ravens best moment in her career. It was a gems in our childhood and a Disney Channel staple!
I noticed Nia from Suite life was in that episode country episode btw now I see how madea was made because Raven played different roles for one 2 part episode while Tyler Perry did the same for multiple movies
I always thought it was really cool that raven’s mom was working on her degree. I don’t know why I found that so inspiring as a kid. I guess to show that women that are older than their twenties can still work to achieve things. I feel like society has a weird way of acting like once mom’s have kids their lives are over.
Yep, good point. T'keyah was 41 when That's So Raven first aired. And 45 when it ended. But I think Tanya Baxter may have been about 34-38 judging by Raven's age in the Show. 14-17.

This was my show. I was so happy to see my girl back on the screen. Had no clue that’s the same set from Saved by the Bell. That’s pretty dope. I would’ve loved to see the movie

When I grew up I kept thinking about a show with a black girl that has a vision and can see into the future and here I am found it on Disney+ and watching the full 4 seasons. people always big up Zendaya, Selena and Miley but Raven was always my favourite, especially with her different accents lol she and her cast were real comedians not to mention great singers, as well as Demi who was also an underrated singer.
