I know what drew me to this game. The first hook was seeing the artwork and model for Sage at Salute. Just the image of this gorilla studying a small lizard on his hand just captured my imagination. It’s a image that suggest studying something new in an unexplored world. With that I was totally drawn into the design and setting. Shattered earth reclaimed by nature, inhabited by evolved animals and humanoids. Perfect. It opens up an entire world to be turned into awesome pieces of terrain. I love seeing what terrain pieces people have already made for this game. Aquarium plants all the way!
The campaign I believe appeals more to my style as I always enjoy a good story. Open campaigns such as those found in RPG’s I believe would appeal to the masses but that again is my own opinion. Great direction with this game and will be watching more from the channel as far as gameplay.
I like that the factions are divided by job instead of race. Makes the game and its background more interesting. I like the Artefacters and the Militia the most.
The world and its inhabitants fascinate me. I love one that has visibly been post-apocalyptic for a while, completely taken over by nature and this also being realized in the models and factions themselves. Always liked the mixture of post-apocalyptic sci fi weapons and equipment with anthropomorphic creatures or seemingly very degenerated or low-tech humans. This could be a game i didn't know i wanted, but now i need. :D
The dynamic movement is what drew me to the game. I really like the variety of results as well. Nailing it just seems like it would feel great. Also I’m interested in the artificers because Nix on a Dino seems amazinf
The first think that caught my attention was the background of the story. The world has flooded and dinosaurs are back. I want to know more about it. The Atrefacters and Bondsmen look great.
I am so torn between the Wayfarers and the Artefacters! I would have to say the art on the cover is what really caught my attention, and seeing the variety of art you used in the book finished the pull in.
Hard to say what I like best about the game, it's just that it fits in perfectly in what I like about a miniatures game: it's skirmish, it's in a jungle, there's a reaction system and last but not least, there's dinosaurs! I actually like a lot of models in the range but not necessarily all from the same faction. Nevertheless I'm still very happy that I chose the Firm.
Oh, and I hope we get to see some cards for different kinds of dinosaurs (like the T-Rex at Salute), I look forward to use some of my kid's toys in the game 😁.
Well... DINOSAURS! And I'm not even joking. I might even have to get myself a well-chosen box just to paint some dinosaurs (with or without riders... that dino-rider looked awesome!!)
I'm torn between Wayfarers and Militia; I mean it's either an anthropomorphic elephant or a gorilla with a minigun... I'm not really a competitive gamer so while there was a lot of talk here about tournaments, I'm far more interested in a game's setting and narrative opportunities, which this looks like it has in spades. Also the basing foliage on the minis looks fantastic, where's it from?
nrgspike I can say that the tournaments are narrative based, so each round links to the next, culminating in a narrative decision which will impact the next seasons fluff
I am most interested in how the terrain plays a role in combat, I am also interested in the movement system, and the point system. I don't really have a favorite factions I think they are all amazing in their own rights. To know what faction I like I need to play them and dig really dip in the lore of the game and how the game plays.
Main reason i am drawn to this game is it's heavy use of terrain. The boards look fantastic, and i love that you can leap from one elevated piece of terrain to the other , while shooting mid-air. this is what a skirmish game should be about. you play with just a few models, so you should have plenty of strategic options. And from watching some battle reports, i feel Drowned Earth offers just that type of gameplay. I am thinking of getting Artificers and Wayfarers starters.
the prospect of eventually buyng a brontodon/longneck dinosaur and converting it to a (Fire-)Base for Campaign play.... argh RPG with dinos!!! gimmeeee!
well like get some minis and the dinos to be fun to do whell just minis i see kit bash to a look in to game a may be to and terrains stuff fore it i got look the one kit you do see are land mark bildings that you mad max thing ok water wold and got do lot boats whell now its work darn uit will sea as go
I love that you've mixed races in the starter boxes. That makes painting a team much more interesting to me.

Different factions with different races with different roles is great, the wayfarers because they are the merchs thats adds to all other factions.

I love that the characters plays a important role in the game. (Bondsmen because they look rad)

My favorite aspect of the game is how dynamic it feels compared to other tapletop games

The Wayfarers are calling me the most (at the moment). And did I hear the words "campaign" and "AI"? *Very* excited by that!
this game looks awesome. the wayfarers look amazing. this game has interested me for a while. I love the cinematic nature and the backstory.
