Would love to see a follow up my legend just went out on me today and I would love to put a Honda on it!

This is awesome. I knew this mod could be done. Thank u for posting this on RUclips, Andrew. I'm sure this will help out a lot of people and also have requests to manufacture mod kits for others. I have a few Onan engine adapters if ur interested in manufacturing mod kits to upgrade engines for these older Miller welders.

Would you mind sharing the model and serial number on the new Honda engine you used? I'm going to do this to my old AEAD 200LE also. Awesome video!

My Miller aead is a lot older than yours, the Onan will not maintain welding RPM so I planned to replace it. Should I, are the parts available to repair it? If replacing is wise how to separate it from the welder. I have remove4d the base bolts and the 4 bolts that are inside the screened guard. But it doesn't budge, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to unbolt the flywheel from the rotor. Once that and the motor mounts and the bellhousing bolts are removed, it should come free. The Onans can be repaired if you can find the parts, but I opted to future-proof it with the Honda engine.

Excellent question. I really do need to shoot a follow-up. The welder is wired up and running, although there are still a few loose ends to tie up
