For some reason no one has reviewed this base model of the Galaxy Book 4 yet? So here it is :D
Today I will be reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Book 4. This is a 15 inch Aluminum utrabook from Samsung that's cheap, durable and surprisingly fast. Now that school's started again, this might be a good option to consider if you need a laptop that can get things done, while not costing too much, and of course - looking good.
It's a refresh of the Galaxy Book 3, but it DOES do some thing different, which I'll talk about.

The hdmi port supports 1.4 or 2.1??? (you can check with a tv that supports hdmi 2.1)
Are gonna email the battery life?
What about the PLS screen? Do you notice any IPS Glow on this screen? Is the Book4's screen better, the same or worse than its predecessors?
It looks the exact same as the displays on the 3, 2 and 1. Contrast isnt amazing, but i dont notice any IPS glow :)
now the regular book 4 with i7 256ssd and 16gb ram is on sale for $650 in the samsung website. is it a good time to get it? would you say it's worth it at this price?
Wow, it's incredible how you Americans can 10x and some times 12x cheaper than in brazil. Here it costs 9000 R$, the minimum wage here is 1400R$, imagine having to save 6 wages just to buy just 1 laptop. Sorry for the bad English, I'm taking English classes to improve it.

No, it does not. You could connect an external GPU through the USB-C port though :)
Already have a ps5 for games need a laptop for content making productivity .
Does the core 7 150U do the deal ....... And kindly tell about its life like 2 3 years how does it work being old.😊
I dont think the iGPU is quite good enough to do video editing, for that i would get a laptop with a dedicated GPU :)
Go for new intel core ultra processors laptops for future AI

Intel drivers are hit or miss with some games, so it *could* work, but i wouldn't bet on it. I wouldnt buy this laptop for gaming, but you could always try! :)

Absolutely return it if you have that option :)
I see a lot of reddits about the screen cracking, is the standard galaxy book4 screen made of a different material than the Pro, 360 and ultra?
The standard Book4 has a plastic screen, while the Pro, 360 and Ultra have a glass display. The displays can crack on both, but the glass ones can break from the outside as well of course.

are the usb c ports thunferbolt? so it supports external gpu (in theory) right?
I've seen mixed sources for this: other reviewers say that it has thunderbolt, but samsung doesnt list in anywhere on their website, and i cant reliably test it... :/
@@crimsontechytalright, looks like its not thunderbolt. Oh well, atleast its got good ports overall. I use this as a secodary device in addition to my gaming pc, so i wont need the most powerful cpu or storage.
Mainly intended for productivity, streaming and simple games like minecraft, terraria and so on
For 579€ brand new I'd say its decent considering build quality, fingerprint scanner, decent IPS display and the integration with my s23 or samsung buds :D

Yeah its a great overall package imo, plenty of things it does right (especially for the price!)
The pixel density on it sucks though

Thanks for the review. I'm a full stack software engineer at Samsung and I'm fully switching to Samsung devices from Apple. I just ordered the Galaxy Book 4 with Intel Core 7 150U, 16GB Ram, NVIDIA MX570 4GB, 512GB SSD and I bought a sorbent 8TB SSD to put in the 2nd m.2 slot. I owned the base i3 model for the galaxy book 3 so this will be a huge upgrade. Used educational discount and I picked mine up from UK for £950, and as a treat a 1TB S24 Ultra

In this laptop the coding is work or not?
If you mean if this laptop is suited for coding, yes it it. I've tried running C, C++ and C# on it in Visual Studio / Studio code, and had no issues with it :)

@@sambitkumarbehera1936get the book4, the ultra 7 is an amazing processor and generations better than the book3 processor. Ultra7 + 16 gb ram should get any job done

Does it mean that the display of this Book4 is better? Or an IPS is better?
@@cristalcaravaggio3709 definitely an led display is better than ips. I have book 4 and its display is amazing.
@@cristalcaravaggio3709, LED is usually better. IPS isn't bad, but the black isn't true black. With LED the individual pixels can turn on and off. But of course it would depend on the display quality, the same way an iPhone IPS screen was better than some AMOLED cheap Android phones.
