      It is true that we are born into sin and have a sinful nature and because of that, God could not let us enter into heaven in that state. The law of God was never something we were supposed to be able to follow to begin with and its function was to be a reference point to show us how sinful we are. Christianity is not a message of hopelessness or condemnation at all. It is a message of hope and the gospel is good news because the death of Jesus provides for us that righteousness by our faith in him and allows us to enter into eternal life. From the way you wrote your comment, I imagine you've had some people in your life pressure you and make you feel condemned. If that is the case, I'd like to say my condolences to you. The Bible itself even says in Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. I was someone who was an atheist for most of my life until God through experiences in my life, showed me that he is real and that the Bible is true. We are not supposed to be walking around in fear all the time about going to hell. If we have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and have accepted that he paid the price for our sins that we ourselves could not pay, there will not be any condemnation. Fire and brimstone style preaching is wrong/condemning and there is no love in that. I would encourage you to seek out God for yourself outside of an extremely harsh/religious environment because at the end of the day relationship with God is the goal, not checking off boxes to get into heaven or making ourselves to be more virtuous than others/looking down on those who have not yet come to Christ. People also treat the Christian condition as if we say the salvation prayer and then start fixing ourselves to be holier to God and this is not the case. Being born again is the right path, which is where you receive the Holy Spirit from God by repenting (turning away from) of your sins, and professing faith in Jesus Christ that he died for your sins and rose again from the dead. The Holy Spirit does basically all of the work within you to change your desires and behavior rather than you trying to achieve some endless unattainable goal of righteousness. This is true Christianity. God bless you.

      Sounds like it hit a nerve. That is precisely the "good news" of the Christian message, just explained in a way that shows how absurd it actually is.
      To be precise, this is the gospel message of the apostle Paul, who emphasized faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to attain Salvation. Jesus himself taught a message ofJewish apocalypticism, which emphasized that Judgement Day was fast approaching and to therefore live righteous lives, treating your neighbor as yourself, as some of his own followers would still be alive when the end happens (Mark 9:1).
      But after Jesus was killed by Roman authorities, his followers had to revise what Jesus meant when he said the end was coming soon and that some of his own followers would not taste death before the Kingdom of God comes in power and all evil is destroyed.
      After Paul converted to Christianity, he made his own end time and salvation message, which is one that Jesus himself didn't believe in according the gospels themselves, and especially contradicting many of the sayings from Mark, our earliest and probably least fabricated Gospel. Paul thought the end of time was coming soon, urging the church to be prepared for this climactic event in all of history, but then Paul died and Jesus still never came back to establish his kingdom here on earth.@@Sungroove

      Indeed - except they miss much of history here. The dead sea scrolls with writings dated before Jesus hints at a divine messiah of sorts comparing to melchizidek. IT is also mentioned that the Jews thought of the sons of God as a normal human - well ANE scholars actually normally do not have this view. Jews developed this ideology to counter Jesus. One only needs to look at Ugaritic and other cultural texts to understand the culture and understanding of the written text of the OT. Other than that pretty funny video

(And then there is the actual history of the Catholic Church that followed all of this! Horrific.) This question unravels the whole religious ball of string.

      simple...Jesus is my best personal friend. you have an opinion and your own religion i did too as a Jew taught to hate Him. Now I have a savior and best friend in Him. I am born a Jew taught to hate Jesus. How can you hate someone who never existed? In time Jesus revealed His love for me and i repented of my sins and asked Him to be my best friend. I wept when He entered my heart for joy and for sorrow for my past. the point is now Jesus is my best personal friend, but once I was like you yet I never denied the reality of His existence. thanks for your opinion

    • @fogsmart
      @fogsmart Год назад +3

      @@davidisrael9412 if anything is true, it’s that religion, belief and faith are entirely subjective. It is also axiomatic that certain historical aspects of all the expressions of faith in this world leave room for doubt, skepticism and questions. Everyone’s journey is just that, a personal journey. A person’s individual background, the faith traditions they came from or converted to, and all other aspects that form the context of where you are at today are actually irrelevant to the issue of what is truth, what is historically accurate, and what is the level of trust that should be given to the particular faith tradition. Modern scholars have undoubtedly given a lot of evidence that suggests it is not the Holy Spirit guiding the writers of scripture but rather human narration manipulated for a host of various complex reasons requiring much research and understanding of how culture, literature and psychology work. So one makes a choice for or against the systematic theology in question (and often dissonance keeps believers from being objective) while the draw of following a divine authority that claims to love you is overwhelmingly attractive. So who knows? You could be right. You could be wrong. Jesus as the divine Son and the propitiation for universal sin and the individual’s failure to meet God’s requirement for holiness and perfection may be ultimate reality or it might be a con job. It doesn’t really matter. You live, you die. Enjoy the moments along the way. It’s all you really have. If belief gets you thru the day, that’s great. If Jesus is your bro, best buddy, etc., that’s lovely for you. I have my own personal thoughts about Jesus and have accepted the gift of salvation, perhaps more so as a universalist than an evangelical, but I’m under no delusion that it may indeed be all a myth, after all, it’s really just a hope only (eternal life, etc.). The video presentation in question here was done with a certain journalistic, investigative style oddly conniving in itself with its lack of dry scholarly pontificating but, it was a great presentation highlighting the valid points about from whence modern Christianity evolved. There’s a plethora of other sources of information available for those wishing help deconstructing their faith or reinforcing their beliefs in a less preachy style, but it’s not a journey many are happy to take. A rabbit hole comes to mind. So does the blue pill red pill analogy. In the mean time, love others, be kind, be a good person, take care of your mental health, let others be, and diligently seek truth in all things with intellectual honesty being aware of how our minds work.😀👊

Jesus ( _Yeshu_ in Aramaic or _Yeshu'a_ in current day Hebrew) means 'saving' or 'redemption'. Messiah ( _Moshi'ach_ in Hebrew) means 'annointed' (one). And the son (or servant or chosen one) of God is Israel. (Examples: Ex. 4.22 or Isaiah 42.) And I'd personally prefer naming God the 'God of Israel' instead of 'jaweh', as to not address the god of the jehova's witnesses. Also, I would disagree with the fact that Jesus did not exist as in the Jewish oral writings there are still mentions of him even though the most part was banned / erased / censored by Christians.

      @@geraldinehorton1410 most people who say they believe DON'T know what they are believing??
      Why did Kepha (Peter) say, untaught unstable men twist the writings of Sha'ul (Paul) to their own destruction??
      Why is it in the book of Acts, that when people accused Sha'ul then of teaching against the written Torah of Moshe, that He Sha'ul 3 times testified he did NOT teach against the written Torah of Moshe but that he obeyed the written Torah of Moshe completely!! And to further prove and to silence those who lied saying he taught against the Torah of Moshe, he took the young men and mikveh'ed with them and paid all their expenses (very costly) for the vow they had made to YeHoVaH??
      Why, because you like the majority who follow the wide path which leads to destruction (without Torah, anomia in greek, lawlessness as the kjv says), do NOT know the 2 torahs or what the pharisees taught and teach to this day, therefore like these idiots on this video you have bought the lies sold as truth, false teachers as Yeshua and Sha'ul warned us about repeatedly, are ignored because you do not understand what Yeshua taught and what He opposed and violated, the oral torah of the pharisees now compiled in written form known as the mishnah and talmud among a 4 of the most noted books.
      The gospel Mattityahu, Marqos, Luqas, and Yochanan along with Kepha (Peter), Sha'ul (Paul) etc taught us what is written in the Torah of Moshe, devarim/deut 18:18-19
      I (YeHoVaH) shall raise up for them a Prophet like you (Moshe) out of the midst of their brothers (native born hebrew, not the ch_rch or chr_stianity). And I shall put My Words (written Torah of Moshe) in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.
      v19 And it shall be, the man who does not listen to My words (written Torah of Moshe) which He speaks in My Name (character, nature and authority), I require it of Him...
      require what of him??
      Death penalty, because they have broken the blood covenant/oath, the guilty party must die like the animal did!!
      This is the gospel of the kingdom, Yeshua who did NOT break, violate, add to or remove from (deut 4:2, 12:38, prov 30:6, & rev 22:18-20), the sinless Lamb of Elohim could pay the debt of death in our place, because we broke, violated, added to and removed from the blood covenant made beneath MtSinai, the wages of sin is death, an sin is the violation of the Torah (law in most english translations, nomia in greek is Torah)...
      lawlessness in Matt 7:23 in greek is "anomia", "a" means without and "nomia" Torah... this is the revelation of Matt 5:17-20 & Yeshua is quoting tehillim/ps 6:8 depart from me, all you workers of wickedness;
      Yeshua, and Sha'ul (Paul) and ALL the other authors are constantly quoting the Torah of Moshe and the prophets, the prophets are paraphrasing the Torah of Moshe by revelation they received from YeHoVaH, Yeshua did NOT come teaching some NEW thing that we had never heard before, that is what the false teachers do in chr_stianity (a roman state rel_gion) and the ch_rch the pagan house of sUn g_d worship!!
      Yeshua taught what Moshe saw and heard, and he explained paraphrased it revealing the spiritual side of the letter, therefore Yeshua did not abolish nullify end but in fact heightened the requirements of it and Yeshua taught and told us like Moshe told them, shema hear and obey and teach your children and your childrens children to do the same... Marqos 16:15-20
      If Yeshua had taught against the Torah of Moshe, adding to and removing from, in violation of the direct command written in it, and taught others to do so ... He would have been found a liar, and would NOT and could NOT have been The Prophet, or The suffering servant, or the Messiah...therefore we know for certain, He was that Prophet, the Messiah, the chosen one who would deliver us from sin (the bondage of rel_gion, manmade doctrines and customs, adding to and removing from the written Torah of Moshe, the yoke Yeshua told us to pick up because it was easy to bare...it is the words of men adding to and removing from that Yeshua said, they lay upon you a yoke you cannot bare, and further that it their yoke which kept them from entering into the reign of the heavens (here on earth) and those who heard and followed them!!

      hi there.hola hooray hey. here we go the truth coming up,actually turah&bible were from god but they had been corrupted afterwards as a result god sent down quran upon prophet muhammed&god said i`ll preserved the quran thereby god had fulfilled his promise ,let me show u friendly&honestly the truth,okee dokee.shedding the light on christianity to know the truth first of all there is no original bible the 4 main bible are contradicted to each other yet there is 1 quran but who is the writer of bible the answer is paul the jewish who hates jesus let us discuss about the significant event which is crucifixion why does your would claimed god left his only son to crucify without any sin he had committed the disaster reached its uttermost when u found bible said on the tongue of jesus my god my god why do u forsaken me means jesus has never crucified willingly have u an idea why do they `ve crucified jesus because it`s a penalty of an impure &particularly crucifixion because dindn`t touched the earth make it an impured that what paul said jesus gets impure for the sake of us &see the authentic god what does said in quran chapter 3 verse 55 by the name of god the most gracious&most merciful ,
      O Jesus, I will take you and raise you up to me, and had purified you from those who disbelieve, and He will place those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection, then to Me is your return, so I will judge between you regarding that in which you differed,the authentic god rose jesus to the sky before they kill him in addition he had purified him from a false accusation of he was an impure . quran verse is comply with the bible itself :So they lifted up stones to stone him. But Jesus did and went out of the temple, passing through them." ( John 8:59 ),let alone of many verses in the bible incites to violence thus u found the largest massacres had happened in history the ww1&2 christian countries against christian countries 100 millions had been killed not to mention the sex stories in the bible nay u never found a single sex word in quran,don`t take it in personal just i clarify u the plain truth,bible said woman when she during the menstruation she gets impure &any thing she would touched it will be impure &should stay at her room till had done of it don`t see that an insulting to woman &how does the claimed god in bible said so he demeans& underrates his own creatures, yet islam honored the woman &she has a complete chapter its name women show us her rights,let us look at modern medicine which refutes the bible, ovulalation happens every 28 days from overy next month from other ovary when fertilization fails to happen mestrual bleading happens it always stops when a female gets pregnant ,menstrual cycle ovulation the female genital system consists of one uterus to overuse vagine& externat genital organs ,,the blood during menstruation could cause diseases to spread and that’s why does a woman during her menstruation needed to isolate so the blood would not be passed around to other people & diseases not be spread that`s what god has said in quran and they ask you about menstruation say, isolate women don't come near them untill they get purified verse 222 chapter 2,why there are priests,pastors&nuns are reverted daily to islam,yet u `ve never a muslim clergy left islam as per western media said that islam is the fastest growing religion in the world,i didn`t like to push islam onto u god said no compulsion in religion verse 256 chapter 2,figure it out then make up your mind,peace....//';l

      Paul was not very humble, which is supposed to be an important part of "christian" life style. He was a braggart; he was imprisoned more, beaten more and only he got secret messages from Yahweh. He had hatred in his heart; his mentions of those opposed to him, Peter, James and John, are full of vitriol. Not very Christ like. And Paul says he had a "thorn in my flesh" which he asked Yahweh to remove. My thinking, based on nothing but surmise, that Peter, James and John were that thorn. From reading his complaining about them (not usually named) in his letters to "his" congregations, though, it sounds more likely. Warning: I'm no scholar.

      On the subject of Peter and Paul:
      "Fought’ is an awfully strong word, but these two did have a sharp encounter. We see it unfold in Galatians 2:11-19, where Paul rebukes his fellow apostle for caving in to the prejudice of a group who said that people from all ethnic backgrounds had to satisfy the Jewish ritual law before they could become proper Christians. This meant, for instance, that men had to be circumcised and that no one could eat pork.
      Paul was livid at this perversion of the gospel. They were piling on superfluities, making salvation a matter of performance instead of a gift of mercy and grace on the basis of faith alone. If there’s any doubt over how upset Paul was at this heresy, one should read verse 5:12, where he says, “I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!” In other words, as long as they have the knife out, why stop with circumcision? They could be even more “holy” if they kept on cutting.
