Yup! In this interview he kept on saying “I owe lots of people an apology” but never reached out to them directly. I would’ve respected him more if he apologized like 5 years ago BEFORE his documentary was released and apologized to the people he hurt directly and privately.

I don’t think he is apologizing out of remorse, nor do I think he is “embarrassed he got caught.” I think he knows he is potentially facing years behind bars once the criminal trials get underway.

They didn’t allow it, they were unaware because parents were kept in the separate area while the kids were on set. Folks like Dan and Brian were very good as manipulation and luring people. The kids were also scared of Dan AND if losing their jobs. As far as I’m concerned, the only parent who showed no concern about Dan and “allowed it” was Jeanette’s mom. (Hence the harsh sounding title of her book)

The problem is this isn't just about Dan. It's about the people who hired him who turned a blind eye. There are plenty of positive environments with child actors, so it's actually possible to do this well and right. This is a massive fail on the part of the network to allow this to go on as long as it did. They knew and didn't care to do anything about it.
you have to wonder exactly how much they knew though since while they approved a lot of the disturbing content, I feel that they were completely oblivious to the fact that Dan's work environment was a very toxic place.

On one hand, you want to give him credit for being upfront and being honest about it. So many abusers who deny allegations.
On the other hand he needs to be held accountable for his actions.

He was forced to come out and say it because he was exposed by many people on that show. A simple apology for the public to see doesn't erase the trauma he's caused for so many people over the years. I’m happy he apologized for what he did. But honestly, I feel like that he has a long way to go to make up for what he did.
Nobody will ever accept his apology because we are all aware of his past actions. Unless he is deceased or sentenced to life in prison without parole, most of us view him as nothing more than a joke and a jerk. We believe he will continue to find ways to manipulate people in order to redeem himself or achieve some sort of personal gain.

I can't believe that just about every one of those shows has some form of an innuendo, whether it be foot related or some type of liquid interaction or physical food item interaction. Why was it reused so much? It's almost like those shows should all be erased- and I'm not for changing content but there were a lot of adults supervising those sets and execs approving the show for the air. Maybe Dan should pay for deleting all the content out if that's the solution. They are all complicit and responsible in my opinion.

You can apologize all you want, but no one is owed forgiveness. You can disappear and accept any sort of erupt religious transition like anyone else who ends up being caught red-handed, but the writing is on the walls at this point. No one wants your apologies, they seriously want you in prison for the rest of your life or dead and the even more sad part about either of those fates is that it'll still won't cure the everlasting trauma.

I don't think I heard him right did he just say he owes some people an apology? he owes a lot of people and apology more than just some. He allowed these kids to be subjected to trauma and worse they were robbed their childhood while they were making hours and here is the problem with that they only were they been subjected the stuff, but we were technically indirectly being subjected to the same stuff because all this perverted nonsense and his shows we were being groomed by that, he owes everybody an apology. At least some of us were smart enough to know that that is not appropriate for children, and that that was not right.
