- Spend the day with me in an authentic Turkish village in Akşehir, Konya. Get a glimpse into traditional life in the countryside of Turkey. I’ll show you my in-law’s summer gardens full of fresh goodies. We’ll also celebrate the Turkish bayram (holiday) of the animal sacrifice and enjoy a Turkish breakfast and dinner of etli ekmek (pide). If you’d like to see more from my perspective as an American living in Turkey, please consider subscribing to my RUclips channel and giving this video a thumbs up. Until next time, thanks!

I love that through village life people can eat organic fruits and vegetables
Many people have their own gardens here in the village and even if they don't live in the village full time they'll often preserve them and take them back with them to their homes to enjoy throughout the year. I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Watching from Philippines. I love farming
How great to see viewers from so far away. I appreciate you watching! Thanks :)

Such a beautiful house! I love the mud walls. They make me feel close to nature! Also, mud walls are aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
I never saw mud walls before like this. They've certainly stood the test of time!

❤I want to ask you a question How is your husband english can you understand him well ? also turkey is the best place for an retirement isn it ?
His English is excellent after spending many years in the US, so I don't have any issues understanding him 😉. I think retiring in Turkey was popular amongst the Brits, especially, in coastal areas of the south/southwest since the scenery is so beautiful, the weather is nice, and it was considered much cheaper than the rest of Europe. However, the cost of living has increased substantially more recently, so it's no longer considered the 'deal' it once was. Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it!
