Don't get me wrong I'd give my left arm for this guy vs bunker boy, but I don't think he is the best by far. Some reasons for this: 1. His campaign contributions are from people he exempted from lawsuits in the nursing home industry. This may have cost lives. We do need a good investigation on this point. 2. The police unions contributed to his campaigns. How is this affect the interaction between him and law enforcement in light of The Protests. 3. His advocacy for salt tax repeal. Salt tax is for folks who pay more than 10k in property taxes(people whose home values are in the neighborhood of 500k). How many people really care about this, but it seems to be his top priority.

@@svengaefgen5909 I gave my reasons. As far as who is better? I haven't seen better for some time. In fact I can't think of anyone who I'd say is 'the best'.

Like him or not, he has given updates DAILY to the public. No other governor or lead official has been as consistent or careful as Cuomo since the beginning.
I live in WY and appreciate him because our governor has been caving into the conservative powers to reopen without any leadership or sense!

Are you incapable of comparing the risks in Wyoming to the risks in New York? Twentynine people in a million in Wyoming have died of this virus and 1562 out of a million in New York have died of it. That’s fifty times more likely in New York! Twice as many people died today in New York as have died in Wyoming during the entire epidemic.
I agree it’s helpful to get facts, but my goodness, the facts from Wyoming scream that it was probably a mistake to have a lockdown there at all.
I was thinking for awhile that I enjoyed his mode of communication, but I think he's lost his way and today's was awful. I haven't listened for awhile, so it was a shock. Guess our new justice system will accept cell phone videos as replacement for trial, judge, and jury.

Hey he has been on EVERY day with his calming demeaner about the virus. He has been a great comfort to me and many people. Gives us all the information and solutions. He is doing the best he can with this unknown enemy that has attacked us. He is doing a good job. I think he's great!

there probably weren't many. There is a delayed effect. If the protesters are passing the virus around to each other, you will see new hospitalizations in 2 weeks. Though a lot of the protesters are young, so you might have undetected asymptomatic infection.

some commenters seem very negative as tho the context within which cuomo is speaking, thas is we have A non responsible person at the helm of our national government, provoking bad behaviors at every turn, and a pandemic still playing itself out, doesn't exist and that all gives rise to a NEED for someone to speak clearly, with principles, plans and care for well being of citizens. Gov Cuomo, hopefully our next president, does that.

I am a nurse in NY and believe me it is no joke. The virus is still here but with the social distancing and masks we have better control. It is up to us if there will be a second wave. Personally I think there will be.

@@belindahorne9127 I run a furniture store and almost non of my customers are wearing a mask. The business ownership made it company wide that we will not require customers to wear masks. I wear a mask with every single one and keep my distance but sometimes it can get sketchy.

I don’t quite understand your point here. My point was that he mentioned someone was dead when he was not. Abner Louima is a Haitian-American who was brutalized by a police officer. He is a member of both my race and nationality. Unless you yourself are a person of color, you don’t not understand what an uphill battle it can be being seen as an equal in this society. So yes I agree with you equality for all.
And finally also being a medical community I had to give the governor kudos for doing such an exceptional job in handling the pandemic crisis.

In Wyoming, we were never really shut down. No bars or sit down area restaurants but curbside delivery, drive-thru food, drive-thru liquor stores, our reg liquor stores all that was open. people would go through the drive-thru and take their food to the park. We've had 947 confirmed and unconfirmed cases and 17 deaths, 2 of which were actually in Colorado.

it has to be done in stages so we don't do too much too quickly. The trajectory of the re-opening is along guidelines generated by infectious disease specialists. Fortunately, we have a governor who's capable of listening to scientists--unlike the guy in the White House.

@@baileyryan96 With mid summer it's fairly safe to just reopend everything that doesn't draw huge crowds. It's the winte months that things are going to get ugly. Remember Dr. Bright's COLD WARNING that if we don't take immediate action this will be the darkest winter in Modern Human Hisotry.

@B dub I work in one of the largest nursing homes in NYC - in fact, one that's operated by the City. The reason hospital patients were sent to us was because beds in the hospitals had to be cleared of less severely ill patients to make room for the onslaught that was coming--had, in fact, already begun. And even with that strategy, it happened so fast and so devastatingly that the hospitals were severely inundated. Emergency room spillover was so bad that patients were located by the score in hallways without even privacy curtains and, in many cases, without all the medical equipment and supplies needed. Nurses were working 12 hour shifts (and more) sometimes going days and days without a day off. Doctors also. I can't begin to explain how severe it was, but I can't believe you didn't see the pictures. So yeah, deciding to send patients to nursing homes seems reckless until you realize what was happening and was going to happen. This strategy was formulated in consultation with medical and infectious disease staff at hospitals and nursing homes. Also, you may not realize, the point at which this decision was undertaken was weeks before extensive testing was available in New York or anywhere else in the country, so we didn't know who had COVID and who didn't. At my nursing home, the first cases of COVID were transmitted to our patients by staff who didn't know they had it--as so many people didn't know at that time. A lot of people easily criticize what was done, but none of us actually working in the situation find fault with - or, nobody I've heard of. Lots of people who don't realize what was behind the decision have been highly critical. Monday-morning quarterbacking.
Here the cases are going up slowly but no one has died 🙏🙏
