Exactly. Immediately after Dave says “I’m not going to tell any nurse anesthetist student to take out loans,” I would looooove for him to elaborate on how he expects those students to save up $300k for the degree. It makes no sense. Is it a little risky? Yes, but professionals have the lowest rate of default on student loans of any group, and she would be able to pay that off in 2-3 years (like Dave admitted), whereas saving up $300k on a nurse’s salary would be much much longer. Dave’s advice doesn’t really paint a workable picture for professional degree programs.

I do agree with Dave on the risk of debt especially in these situations . But, he does need to come up with another plan for his professional degree callers. Because unless you have family money it’s very hard and limited to pay 100% out of pocket including living expenses as you will not be working much if at all. And I never heard this call before. But, what would he tell someone to do who is already halfway through the program and needed to take out student loans to finish? Dave has good advice but always tip toes around these calls with no realistic answers for DMD, MD/DO, PharmD, ARNP, etc…I know he always suggest to go work for a historial/clinic for them to pay for your school. But, that’s is unrealistic. Very few and far in between. No one is going to pay for that.

She’s not. She’s in a nurse anesthetist program. An anesthesiologist is a physician
Dave doesn’t listen to his callers if he did he would not be so confused.. as soon as she gets that 205k and loans are paid off she gone
Yeah I ain't letting no girlfriend lives off of me
Unfortunately, she using this guy. As Dave said, she playing house. We read it or watch people breaking up , once the debt is paid off. Dude come across like a simp. No way I am paying her debt. We paying it together as best case If we.gotten married.. the caller is avoiding to get married. She using all kind of excuses.. She can go to court and.sign paper work. I bet she used her parents to paid off undergraduate degree. Now, she going to used the BF.
Need a follow up on this. She should be done by now
Yes, great suggestion.
The energy of Dave when ending the call... priceless 😅
Don’t do it!!
Yeah I watched a CRNA Rhianna Ferial on RUclips explain how she was able to pay for school from the beginning of nursing to crna school. Her husband is financial advisor as well and flips houses... so you don't have to go into debt to get your dream job. She also did travel nursing as a critical care nurse and took the highest paying contracts. Just saying.
She has her own answer for everything. At that age you know everything. 😂
28-30 is the biggest gap between knowledge and wisdom.
The lights were on but no one was home.
5:14 "We want to get married but we're renting right now." 😢
DAVE: "Renters get married all the time!" 🙄
the poor boyfriend , paying for her education and living, along with kids that arent even his for a girl that doesn't want to get married. she is going to use him for money then just leave one day
This dude she’s using is the dictionary definition of a simp
She isn’t using him. She is living on her savings. And when she graduates she will make way more than him.
7:38.. "I'm not sure he should pay for his girlfriend's education"...there"s the red flag for you boyfriend...
And next he said 'wait.. I'm sure he SHOULDN'T pay for his gf education !!'
Caller: “I’m waiting to finish school to get married”
Dave: “Put your scrub on and go get married”
I'm sure Dave wanted to save the boyfriend.
She does not want to get married, it's completely unnecessary at this point
$300k seems a bit overpriced for CRNA school. I believe it can be done for around $100k. Employers will also help pay for it.
She couldnt pay 30K undergrad and wants to take 300K...
Considering newer CRNAs can get 300k salaried with large signing bonuses go for it
I've never heard that one, "Paint or get off the ladder." LOL
Why do these people call Dave? Seriously. She needs to take loans if she wants to go to school
205 after taxes in NJ is like maybe 150k a year take home.
que
I was thinking even lower
you know what after taxes means right
@@Silidons91 apparently not lol
130k
Lol my wife & i were renting when we got married. We bought a while afterwards, but I didn’t realize there was a law that says you need to buy a house before marriage…😂
There are so many hospitals and healthcare systems that offer continuing education. She could have totally gotten this without the debt
"we are living off my boyfriend" big oof. That guy needs to run away. Looks like this girl doesn't wanna get married.
@@caribbeanbound8357 yup sounds like typical single mom stereotype of I need a guy to support me while I deal with my career then I am breaking up and going on my own.
That is a crazy amount to borrow. She could just go to medical school for that money.
Nurse anesthetists make the same and sometimes more than doctors.
@@pojack9979 that is great. Seems like crazy amount to borrow but also a crazy amount of salary
Also ppl have to remember to get 200-300 you’d be working in rural areas.
She called a year too late? This guy should not get married.
Not a good idea
I just want to know how long it would have taken to save 300k. Not everyone wants to wait a decade before attending school. She should have just paid off the debt when she graduated and not called Dave.
Dude you completely missed the point.....COMPLETELY!
Why did she call in if she already has loan.
OMG run boyfriend! She is using you to fund her degree not to set up a good family situation. This girl (not woman) is extremely selfish.
Young Lady, continue your program. You are young and have more than 30years to work after your program and with 200k income, you can do anything, take life insurance if anything happens to your, insurance will cover your loan. Education is a financial investment like anything else.
Bad advice bud!!!! Very bad advice!
She could have been a travel nurse and banked more than 75k
Dave if no one took loans for medical professions we wouldn’t have doctors or nurses.
Dave is too ignorant to realize that. He paid for his kids college but scolds others for trying to make it on their own.
Sooooo WHY did she call🤔..
....Surely it was NOT for advice when she ALREADY made the decision🙃
Right! Mommy and daddy helped her with her loan… privileged!
Bizarre caller! Why didn't she make it clear from the start?
I really don't like how she wasn't forth coming initially. She wants help but doesn't give all the info. I Don't trust her.
There's more to this story that she isn't saying.
This girl is why some guys like me struggle with women sometimes. She’s using this guy 🤦♂️
Yes, she's using him, and there are many red flags, poor guy being a step dad, supporting the girl through college only to be dumped. I hope I am wrong as that will be evil on so many levels.
Yeah, I am a woman, and I am appalled by her exploitation of her boyfriend. The least she could do is repay him with lifelong loyalty in a marriage union, since his investment is permanent and unrefundable. If her answer to marriage is a bunch of excuses, he needs to run. I would say the same if the genders were reversed.
IF HER BF IS WATCHING THIS AND READING THE COMMENTS........RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Paying all that money for a woman. Madness.
Her boyfriend is going to see this. He showed her this show.
Nurse Anesthetist make really good money so paying off the loan in 2-3years would be really easy.
I think Dave just likes saying Anesthetist
Exactly. Dave doesn’t understand professional degrees.
100% agreed we’d have almost no doctors if it was done Dave’s way
It cost $110 to file court papers to get married and $1000 for a small wedding. She wants a $40k wedding. She could attend a few classes at a time, pay as you go and take a few years longer and be debt free.
This bloke sounds like he has a good heart but I can’t imagine agreeing to pay for my girlfriends new loan. If I was committed to her fully, I’d put a ring on her first
This lady is living in some kind of fairyland. This guy will not get married to her because of this insurmountable dept she has taken on. The excuse(s) she gave, shows they have not finalized any marriage plans.
people are stupid
men especially.. they will probably get married...... and then divorced after a few kids........
so shes going to pump out kids.... and work full time?
good luck with that
Makes no sense since he already paying all the bills
@@dagobaker I have a child and work full time and graduated with a degree without any help. It’s not impossible to do.
@@vetintech undergrad or graduate degree?
You cannot have it all!
Soooo why exactly did you call for Dave’s advice again?
Can’t agree with this
This caller just wanted some validation.
