Thanks a lot for this interview. I deeply admire Oren's openness and transparency. Not just here in the video, but also on social media or in the comments section on RUclips.
This was a really refreshing interview with a DP. Love the topics a you guys covered without diving too deep into the technical aspects of cinematography. Keep it up! 👍🏼
I was lucky enough to have fallen in love with filmmaking very early on. It has helped me get to where I needed to go way sooner than most. I realized early on as well that there really is nothing else for me career wise. If there wasn't filmmaking I wouldn't feel complete doing anything else.
As a film student with many questions regarding my future after graduation, I found this conversation very insightful and I enjoyed hearing Oren's perspective! I wanted to touch on the part about patience - I think that one of the reasons for a growing impatience in creative fields is the financial side of things At the end of the day, you need and want to make enough money to be able to pay your rent and bills etc., and it brings a lot of stress and fears, especially when you're just starting out How do you stay patient when you know the necessasity of also having to earn enough money to stay afloat?
haha, yes, fellow student here with the same burning question. I would love to hear some more in-depth dop origin stories/ways to get to consistent job income
As am coming up coming adventure/travel/wildlife/documentary cinematographer ,im loving this content because teaches what i need to know and adjust to as time goes by
