What i love about this car , is watching history repeat , just like what happened with the Ferrari Dino V6 when it launched it wasn't received with as much enthusiasm as the V8's and V12's but it gained in popularity (and price) very quickly and is now seen as a classic .
I think the problem with this car is just the price tag. Obviously it is a ultra lightweight DCT 860hp hybrid supercar but i don't think that this is the only option ferrari can offer, 270k starting price is just a lot of money and i don't see a lot of people getting this over a Huracán or 720s. I would love to see a lower quality ferrari with this V6 engine, maybe a manual option, rwd, no hybrid and normal materials for around 120k. Something like the AMG GT just midengine.
@@gepixelt7712 the car is rwd, and the reason you would get one over a huracan or 720s is probably its ability to haul ass on them in a straight line and maybe even on a track in the case of the huracan, while also being able to do between 800-900 km on a single tank with decent luggage room all round
I honestly would pick the 296 gtb over the 720s and the huracan, cause it's beautiful, the engine is so funny to drive and sounds really good, it's even a comfortable gt.
Drove a couple Dino 246s. One was in Rosso Dino, and the other was a Rosso Rubino I think. Anyways it was such a cool car to drive, and felt great on the road. The Ferrari V8's usually were pretty raspy sounding, the best sound I enjoy from Ferrari is the V12.
I love the v6 engines, after formula 1 these engines grew a lot, and became very important, an easy engine to extract power without losing good economy. Reliability greater than a V8 and Easier to maintain. V6 engines are the future, and Ferrari nailed this engine, it's a work of art, beautiful sound and great efficiency.
I feel bad for the BMW, he wanted to join in on the fun but then this guy took the exit and it was the last time they will ever meet eachother on the road again.....
From my own perspective it is fascinating to see the differences in driving habits in different countries. An excellent example, compare USA, India, Russia, and Germany then draw your own conclusions. You won't see the same level of curtesy from as many drivers here in the US videos but you won't see as many people getting out of their vehicles with a metal pipe because you used your horn. I miss the beautiful scenery of Germany. As a side note, if I were to drive that car I bet I could get close to doubling the fuel efficiency... but it's very likely this same video would be quite a bit longer. LOL 😜
@@kevekulcsar5732 Well, I drive only on paved roads, do not often take any belongings and we have plenty of parking room here. Winter needs another equipment though.
That's the closest I'll come to riding in a FARRARI. THANK YOU. The açceration was incredible!!???? And the ride lasted so long. I noticed several cars pulled over.
I will say that this is a fantastic piece of machinery, Ferrari’s advancement over the last decade is astonishing, however I will always see this car as an admittance of defeat from the company. Ferrari just isn’t the same company as it was before, it’s lost sight of its own way and prioritized worldly and environmental progress over the ethos of what a Ferrari truly is. It sounds good, I don’t think anyone is denying that. However, it sounds good in a different kind of way. It just doesn’t feel like Italy’s finest anymore…
Yeah that's the crazy part. 0-100 times didnt't change that much in the past 15 years but back then an average supercar needed around 7 seconds to go from 100-200 meanwhile this little beast can do it in 4.
8:33 just tears up
He started cooking hahha
yup, straight to the gas station
Unbelievable. 😮
Thanks
i will die in this car inshallah
My new Ferrari 296, bought for $225k from Mccfrx. Fantastic ride

I think V6-engines can sound very good. Sure a V8 is deeper and I also prefer it over a V6 but still V6 sounds good too.

12v VR6 is just a musical master piece!
and the R35's VR38DETT V6 engine of course, which sounds so similar to this
This v6 sounds soooo much better than the twin turbo v8 from 488s and f8
All everybody wan't is a fuckin v10 or v12!
This car and Ford GT are great examples of TT6’s that are masterpieces and complete animals
I love the sound of a V6! A small engine with a agressive personality!😆

08:33 "Helm, Warp One. Engage!"
That V6 by Ferrari is definitely the greatest roadcar V6 ever engineered. ❤
This exhaust is a must
Perfect viewpoint! Perfect weather! Perfect feeling! Nice sound! Nice open pieces of road! There is alot of nice! in this video.
Best-sounding V6 I've ever heard.
This powertrain suits the car so well!! Love the v6
1:56 the switch just fkn LESGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Once again, Bjorn you have the nicest job on the planet, What an orgasmic sound, think I'm in love with this 296, my favorite Ferrari of all time!
I love novitekc and their work, but the stock for this car sounds better imo
I agree Neil
Agreed
Beautiful Novitec sound.
@1:55 the moment of truth
Most owners of 296 GTB should buy this exhaust it sounds so great
To me one of the best sounding cars this time
Damn, she pulls hard, and sounds great too!
10:18 damn that bimmer wanna race :D
@3:36 probably one of the most violent launches Ive seen this year..👍
Look 8:35 maybe most brutal
and he wasn't even going full throttle...
next time watch to the end before comment :D
From 100 to 281 in 15 seconds. My car goes from 0 to 80 in 15. Hhehe.
Borderline hypercar stuff
1:59 starting the engine while driving, the only cool thing about a hybrid 😎
I love that you get 900hp in a baby Ferrari already:)
I feel bad for the BMW, he wanted to join in on the fun but then this guy took the exit and it was the last time they will ever meet eachother on the road again.....
Dino must be smiling in heaven.
Novitec makes best sound always

This thing certainly doesn't hang about does it, i've never really been in to ferraris much until now... what a machine
If I ever become a millionaire, this is my choice as my daily ride. The best sounding V6 ever made in a road legal car!
Why would you daily this? It’s wide it’s bumpy, can’t put anything in it and can’t go down an underground parking lot

1:54 from electric switching to combustion ! Wow wow wow

Agree… poor start. But wake can it gain some speed!!
Man these truck drivers must have been so happy to see that!
Speechless… 🥹
Omg that 100-200 kmh is crazy
Ferrari doesn't need Novitec, but Novitec needs Ferrari.
Amen.
Intoxicating
3:40 That sounds of 200km/h gives me chills 😎🤯
Sounds like an exhaust leak, but man....the acceleration is sick!
The engine note is beautiful, but that raspy exhaust note is nasty.
It’s like a mini v12
Sounds mad good I like it
Love the 296 a lot
I might be the only one who thinks this, but it sounds quite a bit like a baby V12.
Cause it is
Italians say piccolo v12 (mini v12)
It is. Basically a V12 is a V6(x2). Same with the V10 (2x 5 Cyl.)
I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that!
