Hi Ed, Thanks for the comment. Sorry for the delay but we just got back from a trip on the Pigeon river. It was a tough one! That would have been an awesome trip. Did the portages and camp sites look quite different from the 70's? It seems a bit more travelled to me since I firstwent through that area, but not over used. Only a few months of warm weather left, so get out there while ya can:)
@@scottcameron8583 It wasn't as well traveled back then. I was trying to remember the sites, some of which looked familiar but larger and more heavily used. It was over 50 years ago. 🙂
i stumbled on this video last night. very timely as i am hoping to go in at lerome next week to sue falls on a short solo trip. was in that way about 40 years ago with my grade 8 class. and then again about 17 years ago with my son when he finished grade 8. promised myself i would go back again. tired of putting it off.
You guys seem to be having a blast! I've given up on all those high dollar plastic sleeping pads - they are too fragile. The older coleman pads with vertical baffles are heavier but withstand much more abuse.
My brother and I did this trip with our dad in the 1970s, but starting at Nym Lake. Brings back memories. Beautiful. Thanks.

Hi Rick
You will love it just as much.
I always like the afternoon thunderstorms. Perfect chance for a coffee and snack:) Enjoy !
Looks like it was an awesome trip! Great weather too!
That it was
Lots of fish in those lakes all dying from old age and needing you to help them out with a frying pan funeral:)

I totally agree! I'm the only one with one of the old bullet proof thermarest. They last forever! Thanks for the comment and yes, it was a blast !
Get a hammock... most comfortable backcountry sleep you'll ever have.
