one of the reasons why you would find it easier to stay or enjoy the filipino way of life is because of its spanish and american influences...there are a lot of words and traditions in spanish, and most people speak english...truly sets it apart from its neighboring countries..btw, it's not only cebuano and other visayan languages that have spanish loan words..it's also in tagalog or shall i say the whole of the phiippines.,..e.g. days of the week, items in the kitchen, telling the time e.g. ala una alas dos, etc....
I love the way you guys do you vlog, less cinematic shots (in a good way), so natural, the way you guys speak in front of the camera as if you are talking to the viewers and do ‘kwento’. I just love it.
I love your guys energy. And narration as well. And your appreciation of other cultures. I predict 120k subscribers for you guys at the end of the year.
Thank you so much to the both of you for showing the people of Cebu so much love!!! It makes me miss all of my family that lives there. Sending you both so much love from Los Angeles!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Of course Jay! We had to show the same amount of love they all showed us. Never have we been to a place where strangers felt like family 💙 Awww thanks Jay and sending love back at you from Sri Lanka ☺️
The first time watching your channel, i like what i see, because you two are full of energy and will try anything which i like from Vloger. You guys sure fit in with the locals and explains everything in detail. Welcome to the Philippines and can't wait to see your next venture. God bless
Many older folk in the Philippines would tell you that there are certain foods that are “cold in the stomach” and therefore shouldn’t be eaten on an empty stomach. Raw coconut is one of those foods. So, the raw coconut could have been what upset your stomach. I enjoyed this tour of the market! You guys are fun to watch & I love how sincere & authentic you are..and your food descriptions are spot on! Subscribed and looking forward to more videos!
We're enjoying your adventures in the Philippine islands... By the way the Philippines was a Spanish colony from 1521 and everyone spoke and think and eat Spanish but when the U.S. made the Philippines their colony from 1880 everybody did not speak Spanish anymore except for the middle class and the elite even now...so Filipinos on the lower class speak not but they wonderful happy respectful people...enjoy yourselves..
It seems you guys have had so much fun learning our culture and its more fun seeing your honest reactions to it. Hope you can go to beautiful places here that are less travelled by. Its more fun and love in the Philippines.
Rod, we had an amazing time learning about Filipino culture. We love the people, the food, and everything in between😊We would love to get off the beaten path. Where do you recommend??
@@ChaseforAdventure you're doin it the right way actually and that is having locals touring u around and explaining stuff to u. Hope u can do more food vlogs as well. Go to Car-Car. Lots of goodies there.
Your style is different from other tourist which I think is kool. You are experiencing the deepest pilipino life style local market. More power to you two.
Thank you so much Luis! I feel like that is the best part about visiting a new place. You can see the same ting everyone else comes to see it you can experience the culture, learn and make friends with actual people and experience a life that is so different from where you come from 😁💙 I freaking love Filipino people and culture!
The baby coconut plant feeds on the cotyledon inside the fruit until it develops roots and comes out of the husk. The coconut sapling can live without getting planted on the soil until after 4 or 6 leaves emerge and roots start to cover the husk.
Moalboal is one of the best diving spots in the Philippines I believed there's this Hammerhead sharks. Checked out Oslob whale sharks 🐳. Liked your vlogs! From Texas 🇺🇸
When we were little during the 1970s long purple eggplant was not commonly sold in the market. Most eggplants sold in local markets before were either oval shape or rounded shape and their color were mostly either all white, all green or pale purplish green or pale purplish white. I think the elongated deep purple eggplant that we commonly see today in the local markets come from India.
You guys are really enjoying your tour, have you been to Baguio? There are places there like mt kalugong which may thrill you and enjoy the cool weather at this time of January,. Ingat lagi!
I really love watching your videos guys , really enjoyable and so funny and you really makes me happy and proud you likes and enjoy my country. Godbless you both and more power to you .🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
'Buwa' is the sponge-like cotyledons of germinated coconut when it is fully ripened where meat is already hard usually used in cooking as source of milk or oil depending on the process taken. If the cotyledon is still small, it is very crunchy, denser and sweeter to eat. But when the cotyledon grows over time and occupies the whole space of the coconut, the coconut water is gone as the cotyledon absorbs all the water making it more spongy, less denser and less sweet.
You should ask about Macapuno. It's when a coconut comes out bad/abnormal from the tree itself for some reason. So when you open it, instead of the meat and liquid, it's just filled with what looks like a paste. It's then processed/sweetened into a dessert on its own or mostly as an additive to other desserts like cakes, ice cream and halo-halo.
