Perfect accompaniment for the Rejoice! mediations for Advent from Ascension Press. Psalm 37 is the reading for today and tomorrow! Just beautiful. Thank you, Christopher.
1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! 2 For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:1-4, ESV) 30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip. 32 The wicked watches for the righteous and seeks to put him to death. 33 The LORD will not abandon him to his power or let him be condemned when he is brought to trial. 34 Wait for the LORD and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off. 35 I have seen a wicked, ruthless man, spreading himself like a green laurel tree. 36 But he passed away, and behold, he was no more; though I sought him, he could not be found. (Psalm 37:30-36, ESV)
Thank you Christopher. I believe as revival comes and persecution of Christians intensify, psalms put to song is the means of memorising scriptures and being able to pass it on in places where bibles are prohibited. Bless you and may your ministry go from glory to glory, in Jesus name
Thank you for your response and encouragement Virginia. I like to think about the way how the Psalms have always functioned as such, accompanying Jews on the road, in exile, and Christians the like wherever they went. And to imagine Jesus these prayers by way of singing Let's continue praying for revival and Word so that it will be in our hearts when all else falls!
Thank you Nona for your words, I'm encouraged to hear you are enjoying it. Isn't it great to that for thousands of years already God's people have heard and sung these truths with different melodies? Bless!
That’s great Rachel! These verses are a great invitation indeed..!! Cool that you are also making music and that you love God the way you do, be blessed in that and be a blessing :) Thanks for being in touch!
Exquisite interpretation. thank you for following the desire of you heart, given by God, to make this song.
Thank you Nini, it is a joy when His desire becomes ours and when ours is His!
