For anyone who cant find the "Concrete" attribute under linear elastic material - its seems that (at least in my Comsol Version) it is only available if you use the COMSOL Geo Mechanics Module for some reason.
Thank you for this tutorial, if I used the experimental data (force-> displacement), how I used these data with this model to compare with simulation results ?.
You are welcome. Do you want to add a force vs displacement plot? The same method applies. Just that you will need to select the expression you need. You can add a 1D or 2D plot group then right click and add a global, point or line graph etc.., then add your desired expressions then hit plot. Let me know if that is what you requested.
@@kabindaex7047 The experimental curve (Force-diplacement or Stress-deformation) is not compatible with the numerical results, I don't know what the problem is. Can you give me your email so I can send you this model?

Hi Can Comsol Can comsol accurately capture cyclic behaviour and PINCHING effect of RC elements under cyclic loading? If yes, please tell me HOW? and Can comsol capture the concrete shear reduction and bond slippage between bars and concrete during cyclic load?
Here is another useful blog about shear strength reduction (SSR). Substitute the necessary materials and parameters with the values relevant to your specific project. www.comsol.com/blogs/analyzing-slope-stability-through-the-shear-strength-reduction-method/
Please tell me : 1- Is there easier way to fast draw the concrete and steel bars than the used one in this video, because it is very hard if the model has a complex geometry? 2- Please tell me how to define the interaction between bars and concrete? can to define the slippage ? HOW? 3- are you previously compare the COMSOL results with experiential ones to examine its accurately? 4- Is Comsol Consider better than ANSYS and ABAQUS regarding nonlinear analysis of concrete structures? THANKS
You can always create the model in another software and imparts it into COMSOL. Most CAE the software are good for nonlinear analysis, but it boils down to preference. I would say spent time with one, experiment a lot until you can master one. Here is a good clip for such: www.comsol.com/video/modeling-nonlinear-materials-in-the-comsol-software Also, here is another: www.comsol.com/video/modeling-nonlinear-structural-mechanics-in-comsol-multiphysics-aug-16-2018 You can read this page as well: www.comsol.com/nonlinear-structural-materials-module I hope this help and all the best!

Actually I'm working on corrosion in reinforced steel in concrete while using organic and inorganic hybrid corrosion nanoparticles for corrosion protection, can you suggest me how can i go forward with use of this video
Do you mean like Cathodic Protection of Steel in Reinforced Concrete? If so, try using the Electrochemistry>Tertiary Current Distribution, NernstPlanck>Tertiary, Supporting Electrolyte (tcd) from the Select Physics tree.
It would be really helpful if in every step you take you dont just describe where to click and what to put in but actually describe who it does in the model and how it works otherwise I have to guess everything myself or google a lot for instance: what is intop1(w) in the loading function you defined and how does it create a distributed load?
In the first condition, elastic beam without bars at final stage it would be displayed by error. The same procedure I can follow, but error is repeated. What can I do it sir? After this result step could not be properly displayed sir.
