    It doesn't always work you didn't explain how to do if there is 3 digits numbers to carry

      You leave the third digit and carry the other two digits.

    What do you do if it's 792x79 it will give you 3 digits on the big criss cross

      I have an easier method (for me at least). It goes from left to right. 700x70 + 700x9 + 90x70 + 90x9 + 70*2 + 2x9 = 62,568. I did this all in my head. So proud of me, got it first time. You got to be pretty good with numbers to use this method. You keep a running total in your head while you're going from left to right and good memory as well. It works with any 3 by 2 digit numbers with no carrying (Of course you need to carry when you add numbers together).

      @@vagnersobolev552 Do you mean how long it takes to count or how long it takes to master it? Depends on your skill level with numbers and your memory as well. I don't have much advice other than 'keep practicing'. Good luck my friend!

      instinctively i would do 792x80 - 792...so it'd be 792x8 then adding a 0 at the end of the result then subtract 792, which is even very close to a round number that's 800 so...but i didnt even graduate at secondary high school :)

    isn't it faster (for those with good memory so not me xD) to multiply it by first digit then add a 0 then sum up the moltiplication between the 3 digit number and the second digit...i mean idk 682 x 73 = (682x7)x10 + 682x3... i mean...you just need good memory to remember the longer numbers, don't really know if i made it very clear but, thats a lot easier at least to me.....anyways..math is so fascinating :)

      @@wanhongchen9759 For you, maybe. I too use the above method, and the steps are much easier to remember. I guess it just depends on the level of working memory that one has.
