- Hi Leute, ich war mal wieder auf der Gamescom unterwegs. Es war wirklich cool, es gab vieles zu sehen und anzuzocken. Aber mein persönliches Highlight ist immer die Retrohalle. :)
Hi Folks, once again I was at the Gamescom. It was pretty cool and there was much to see and to play really good Games. But my personal highlight is always the Hall with the Retro games. Enjoy and have Fun :)

yea, also such nostalgic moment when Hellscream was about to get burnt again after killing Mannoroth, and this time his own son saves him, they didnt get so many great things about this trailer... but yeah, whole expansion is a rubbissh, also i think its german

Right! I don't think any cinematic gave me that genuine "gasp!" like WoD's did. Seeing hellscream in that exact same situation in an alternate timeline, made me think that that was really his destiny, it was always meant to happen. But then all of a sudden Garrosh saves him, and then he says "times change" and I'm like oh fuck!!! This is gunna be a great xpac....WRONG!!!

@@grimspound7981 The questing zones and the raids were all pretty great, the biggest issue with WoD was the lack of content overall, but what existed was pretty good.

babylonian5 I bet most of them were confused since none of them had played the original Warcraft games so they didn't know who Hellscream, Gul'dan or Mannaroth were

I think it was just a difference between US an EU crowds, the US clapping stereotype exists for a reason. I do wish EU were more excitable tho
No, this was at GamesCom. There were probably many people who just wanted to see what that excitement some Blizz-Fanboys went for was. Completely different at a Blizzard Convention.^^
All these people not reacting... only those that were there from the start can understand this scene completely.

tuee words. same thought. how could they ruin it, the thing is that they listened to community i heard. ppl complained that there are too many orcs (lol) so they scrapped many zones and changed them. idiotic people.

WOD was great for me, but activision wants 1 exp per year, like COD. So WOD was developed for just 1 year of content.
This old reveal shows how even back then just how disconnected from their playerbase Blizzard was.. Cinematic reveals should always be reserved for BlizzCons, Where the crowd actually understands and are thirsty for these types of cinematics and you get huge positive reaction from real fans, unlike gamescom, where the majority of people there are there for other games and can give two F's about old a** world of warcraft as shown by the lack of reaction
It just shows that, even at that point, Blizzard realized WoD was going to be a failure and wrote it off, putting all their efforts into Legion instead.

WoD wasnt that bad but it was just to short, only 2 patches and it ended. If they went at least to 6.4 with some good stuff it wouldnt have been so looked down on. It had the potential to be really awesome

These statements about "future plans over anything right now" still holds true after N'zoth died prematurely to everyONE person.
they cut so much content that could have filled two more patches, and asspulled the legion for the final raid that could have been an epic showdown with Grommash Hellscream with his axe being a legendary drop. they had the shattrath raid planned and could have had an entire ogre tier on their little island to the southwest to help mix up things.

naw mists was nowhere near as bad as WOD....Mists had a new class..it had that...Siege of orgrimmar was a fantastic raid...hellfire citadel...is not...mists had more than 3 raids..the narrative at least was interesting not the wonky story WOD has...mists at least had Dominance offensive and isle of thunder...we just get half assed tanaan..WOD is worst expac because its lacking in EVERY aspect that made every other expac at least passable

I must attend at least one blizzcon event in my life.....by the way I have been playing Warcraft from Warcraft 1 to wow battle for azeroth....
I hope that too, i am die hard fan about Warcraft, but the blizzcon is just too far away from me, it will be so expensive to attend the blizzcon
A audience who doesnt know who Hellscream or Mannaroth is, is a sad audience. The cinematic creators must have cried after this. lol.
thats on a Gamescom, where just some People know about Warcraft and its Lore. Most visitors came for other game reveals

I don't know why WoD gets so much hate. It really was a learning xpac for Blizzard in developing Legion.
it was short, very few things to do, had more cut content then most other expansions and they asspulled the legion into the final raid which was supposed to have Grom as the final boss.
My feelings about this expansion are... "well, Blizzard actually made an "wait for it" expansion, they defientely wanted to make some more history to be said before legion happen again.

I’m am an old fan of WC2 and WC3. Never played WOW in my life. How does it fit with the regular storyline?

@@slamfunk7638 Garrosh tricked a bronze dragon to sent him back in time to team up with his father so the orcs turned down Gul'dan and his demon blood offer. just so they could re-route the dark portal and invade azeroth.

Oh shut up, we all know Cata was far worse. Although imo no wow expansion is "bad", just lacking in content. Cata had a nice atmosphere with the whole Goblin/Worgen, which they should have worked more on. Should have made Undermine and Gilneas two new cities but royally fucked up.

The story writing in this expansion is by far the worst I've ever witnessed for aa wow expansion, at least when it comes to the level of potential it had of being extremely amazing yet Blizzard had a good thing going but decided to completely screw it over.
Cheering all delayed for the ending... That's... rough. Muted. People were bored, to be sure. What a shame, go look at the videos for BFA, now THAT has a response, from both the Horde and Alliance, and then both combined. Totally different response!
