For many years in Rome in the Trastevere district there has been the legendary pizzeria "Dar poet" (from the poet, in Roman dialect) dedicated to the great Roman poet Giuseppe Gioachino Belli who lived in the 19th century.
This pizzeria with a wood-fired oven is certainly one of the most famous in the Trastevere district.
A pizza that looks Roman but in reality is not low and thin like Roman pizza, but it is not Neapolitan either, so it is a pleasant middle ground.
Great quality of ingredients, 48 hour leavening, a delicious pizza that is a poem!
