    I so want to build a tank.. but every time I look into it. I get so overwhelmed with all the information and terminology and everything you have to test and what not.. reef tanks sure do look amazing though.

    It’s honestly an addiction to have a reef tank I started of with a 14 gallon IM and quickly went to a 40IM in a matter of 2 weeks... honey reason I didn’t go bigger is because I already have a 55 freshwater in my room and it wouldn’t fit .Can’t wait to own my own house and have two good sized tanks one fresh and one reef.. both are such a beauty to watch. Seeing my flower horn grow from 1 inch to not top 3 inches and co living with my puffer, And my reef corals watching the growth of you succeeding in a good quality.

    Hello, not sure if you have answered this before but I'm trying to get back into the hobby. I had a 75g reef tank a few years ago. I was wondering where do you get amazing corals from and fish. I lost all my connections. Trying to not spend a fortune with big stores that charge an arm and leg for tiny frags. Thank you in advance.

    How to keep a successful fish tank. 3 easy steps.
    1) Get the biggest tank you can afford. If you can't fit a car in it, then its not big enough.
    2) Keep it clean.
    3) If you find yourself cleaning it, you are doing it wrong.

    • @LeoPazzo
      @LeoPazzo  10 лет назад

      The tank in this video is not my tank. This tank in video is Ian's 150 gallon with metal halides and compact Florescence tube lights. On my 125 gallon reef I have full spectrum LEDs

    • @jacksonhuang3108
      @jacksonhuang3108 10 лет назад +1

      Oh,i see,thanks you for your time answering,and i also have one question: how did you gauge tank size by gallon or what watt lamp is suitable for what gallon/sized tank? thank you again for your kind reply

    • @LeoPazzo
      @LeoPazzo  10 лет назад +1

      To gauge lamp watts to tank size or gallons is not so much something that I calculate. It's more from experience and research from others trial and error. Depending how deep your tank is and what you want to keep in your tank are all factors that come into consideration

    I am able to keep the fish in my saltwater tank but I am not able to keep the enemies tell me what I’m doing wrong

    • @LeoPazzo
      @LeoPazzo  4 года назад

      There are many variables when it comes to keeping corals.
      What other corals do you have that are doing well and not doing well?
      There are a few techniques I used when I first introduce anemones to my tank. For example turn off my wavemakers and return pumps and skimmer. I now find a good place for the anemone to mount their base to. Preferably not right in front of a wavemaker powerhead. For the most part they will move regardless where you try and place them. Your goal is to get them to mount their base somewhere in the tank preferably on liverock. After 10-20 minutes of the Anemone being mounted in liverock. I will turn back on my return pump and monitor the anemones. After 5-10 minutes I will then turn on wavemakers on low setting.
      Monitor anemones daily. Feed reef roids and they will also filter through the water and eat water they want that is in the water from fish waste or un eaten food or frozen food etc.
      Hopes this helps at least a bit
      Cheers

    What would be an estimate on how much the coral in this tank cost?

    • @LeoPazzo
      @LeoPazzo  9 лет назад +1

      Very good question. Estimated coral cost would be approximately $2500.
      With Liverock 3500$ with fish $400-4500 Canadian dollars would be my estimate. Could be more in some places and less in others. Regardless the cost $ its what it's worth to the owner! Happy reeding Frankie T

    Hi,
    My friend recommend me using 24 hours UV light for my reef and fishes 130 gallons fish tank. Do you use one? I will really appreciate your answer.

    • @LeoPazzo
      @LeoPazzo  9 лет назад

      Hey Marek T what's up and thanks for tuning in.
      I myself do not use a UV on my 125g. Also I don't believe my buddy Ian that is in this video also does not use a UV. Some reef tanks use them in moderation. Have it so you can turn it on and off when needed as it is not needed all the time

      Thank you for your opinion. I hesitate to buy it or not. I see that people don't use UV and I am wondering why my friend (maybe not friend:) ) strongly recommend it for my fish tank. I wrote ,, friend" about man who has a fish shop 30 years and I am his customer. You know, I don't speak English very well, I came from Poland, and usually I get information from people who want help. Like you. Thank you one more time. On this moment I have only sock and protein skimmer in my sump. He told me that the strongest UV working 24 hours is the best solution for me. Maybe better to buy biopellets reactor first?
      Best Regards from California.

    • @LeoPazzo
      @LeoPazzo  10 лет назад

      I believe it's called a flame angle

    • @ekop28
      @ekop28 10 лет назад +1

      Not the flame I'm talking about the one that was swimming openly and looked sort of like a wrasse. Its in the middle of the tank at 1:31.

      Hey Eric, did you ever figure out what kind of fish that was? I noticed too, and I also thought it might be a wrasse but could not find anything that looks like that. I also played this video at my LSF and stumped everybody!

      LEOPAZZO TV I deeply apologize for being rude. I wrote this comment on my mother’s account when I was only 8 years old and quite immature. I have matured now and become less of a brat and want to apologize once again. By the way, I think that tank is pretty sweet
