Hi Michael. Do I need to add Perlite when making my own soil or is there enough in the bag soil that I put all the compost/worm castings/minerals/Big Foot in.

You do not need to add any perlite beyond what is in most bagged soil blends, I don't use perlite or vermiculite as they are not needed if you use the right amount of biochar and they have a very high carbon footprint. If you have any further questions please feel free to call me at 818-599-9119

Do you have a study that shows how long a rock dust works in a soil? You mentioned 3-10 years? Thanks for making great biochar!

I do not have any particular studies but I know several of the ingredients in our complex rock dust blend will last for a few years depending on how much you use. Feel free to call me at 818-599-9119 to further the discussion...
