The only reason I can think that earth receives these characters with massive cool downs that require charge attacks is FLB Caim. Caim can advance battle by 2 turns to reduce the cooldown further. But that also has significant cooldown. Outside of that I have no idea about the design decisions for Earth's characters.
I always assumed uriel was gonna be subpar. Grand sieg is gonna be the chosen one, if that fails then this element is done gg. Also never been happier getting so many wam axes when sparking my landslides because investing in water has payed off massively this year.
As an earth main and sieg fan, I've got a lurking fear that grand sieg is gonna be dark element. They seem to be given him the rainbow treatment of a version for each element, and dark is the only one missing right now. Not to mention the way his story's been going, I can totally see them making him dark. I'm really hoping to get grand sieg in earth, but I am a bit worried.
For me Aletheia and Kengo keeps Uriel spamming upheaval pretty consistent in FA, I haven't got a dirt unit debufer and with lumberjack it really falls behind :/
I need the JP players to raise an abaolutr shitstorm and get him hotpatched. Like not even asking for him to be OP just above average. Like Gabriel and Michael both have plenty of legitimate use cases and can shine in certain scenarios and comps. I got so excited that I didn't even bother to read his kit. I feel shafted. Could have used more pulls trying for GZeta or even sparked her given I saved it for Uriel. Fire is my third (second really given the absolute state of Earth) best element.

I disagree on several things about the rant especially that there are possibly a guess that new earth units will have some possible synergy for Uriel to use. However, I do believe the rest of those GBF videos of yours have some interesting insight especially with someone like me that wasn't able to get Triple Zero unfortunately from the NY spark.
I think outside of the long cds Uriels biggest problem is his s2. Michaels S2 has uplift which is paired with pandemonium and vinland for mc 2Ts of doublestrike. Gabby has ta up which you can pair with Gizoku heart of chivalry for 100ta with Hrae. Dirts backline is also quite crowded with Caim eating a slot in order to switchin to be a good frontliner. Uriel has 40skd and 20sd cap up, I dont even know if dirt can field a decent skill damage comp Add insult to injury, a fist pns doesn't have much synergy with the current grid. At least water pns brought sd comps with knight of ice into the meta. I would say uriels more disappointing than pholia, as pholia at least has a niche with dante in 6d blasting for earring farm.
Went to dark when siegfried came out (light). I was waiting on grand sieg for like 9 months cause they kept teasing him with things like GBVSR beta including sieg, or events and what not. Everytime i would get hype, "this is it! Its this upcoming banner! It lines up!" Kept not happening. And then when that light version came out it felt like a slap in the face. Put 21 bars in dark and put earth on standby. I kept getting disrespected and couldnt take it. 😅 This caim Hrunting tax hurts. Im trying to like uriel more than i do rn.

People have used him for hexa and faa0 but I think most people who use him there are just using him because they don't have characters like shalem or olivia or both. He can be useful for some short burst type setups like a fast ubhl full auto or doing things like tefnut or wamdus but it's not like you can't use other characters for those, he's still mostly just backline core imo
i think the best thing they could do without throwing out the whole kit is make so he can get stacks off skills used when attacking but i doubt theyll do anything so hes gonna be sitting around for a bit until they drop an earth v.grim or v.aglo type char(grand sieg?) also if uriel is checking damage skills what is raph gonna ask for? debuffs???

But no it really doesn't, your options are like skypiercer which is hardly used and ultima fist which both aren't even unique to earth, then baihu claw that's useless because pns already gives you cap, cidala's weapon if you're doing some weird crit grid (you have no space), and faceless whos whole shtick is the supplemental which is now cannibalized by the pns itself. So yeah the voltage for this weapon type is trash currently

I'll respond in order of your comment. First maybe my point about Michael's skill was confusing. My point is that even though Michael and Uriel's skills are both in a way tied to ougi if you don't want to ougi, which a lot of setups in both elements don't want to do, Michael loses less of her kit by losing access to that move than Uriel does by losing access to his. So Michael's is "better" because it matters less for her overall kit. Second the tefnut and wamdus points are not the end all be all they're just a good example because they ARE something you will do a lot whereas harder things like hexa or subhl or diaspora are things you will probably do until you're finished with whatever you're farming and then your playtime there will significantly decrease, so even if Uriel was good there he's already become a niche unit at that point. But that's IF he's good there in the first place, in hexa there's nothing I can think of that he really does better than any other unit to justify bringing him besides dispelling but I'd rather bring a character like c shalem who can also dispel, help way more with 2 mil triggers, debuff like crazy, and force contstant ougis via guarding or s3. A fight like subhl we already have caim frontline with berserker mc which leave 2 slots, and I feel cidala and galleon are a much better and faster combo than uriel and whoever else so no use there, your faa, bubs, belials is he really worth to frontline in these fights? Maybe in some kind of burst room but if you're trying to solo or full auto why bring him over another character? Diaspora maybe he has some application but I'm not sure about that either over what we already have access to. So that leaves something like gold bar farming which imo we either needed a character that did more damage or buffed more to buff our other damage dealers like mc cidala and c naru, or something like gw burst which yes has yet to be seen but is such a small part of your entire playtime on gbf it's laughable and is already bare minimum 3 months away at which point they could release a whole host of characters that'd be a better slot in at that time than him. Third for vikala yes I can partially give you that, just don't use them together, but my frustration comes from the fact that earth already has very few units that really have something good about them and now we're continuing to make it worse by saying we can't use these things together where if it was another ele like light per say uriel would be the h mugen to vikalas nehan and uriel would have a wealth of buffs to use during vikalas double strike but instead here it's just, don't use them together. Lastly yes I'm aware gabriel doesn't give a long lasting veil but it is still a veil nonetheless which means even if it's only for that turn she can help her team avoid debuffs whereas uriel cannot
first I didn't mean to side with Uriel's kit but, maybe for the stacks u can pair it with Lobelia and for self buff the other archangel also didn't have many buff and Gabriel's veil only last until end of the turn but yeah, the way other archangel gains a stack is much easier than Uriel. For now maybe we can use him as a backlines for the support skill that boost weapon skill XD
Yeah a few people have brought up lobelia but it's only one skill per turn with a slight refund on s4 or if you use s2 to reset things, and even with that it's going to be very clicky, slow, and lacks defensive measures
It's show how thing change, when Lobelia first introduced people really like to smash that skill button but now people want to fast pace gameplay, its also referring to his S3, that I also confused why it get animated XD And even if u pair Uriel with Lobelia its still need to wait 3 turns for his S1 auto active and S2 -3T CD still not enough with 12T CD For defensive, yeah when u have Uriel + Lobelia u already have 2 selfish attacker with no survivability kit, so it depend with MC or the 4th slot character
Wouldnt even say Uriel skill 2 is necessarily good, the skill specs bonus is so low His kit is such a huge disappointment, my expectations were low but holy shit? I like uriel alot so im just. baffled at how poorly treated he is. Gabriel was already bad and michael is starting to fall off already despite her wilnas synergy, but Uriel is even WORSE while still retaining the exact same DATA issues as them
His damage caps are low, his kit is clunky (though hcucu helps him ALOT) and his primarch passive barely has a place in earth because of how loaded backline is (Lobelia and diantha are both just...more valuable)

You could do this but soriz is just really clicky and doesn't particularly bring anything of note to a team nowadays besides the skill damage so it's not preferred outside of certain scenarios
He is good, but his kit is bad for earth. Why? STOP Give us DPS CHARACTERS WE NEED NEHAN TIER BUFFERS! Also his prof doesn't work with world harps. But I think the most problem is PNS fist....Hrunting needs sword or katanas for bursting but if they following wind fan route would be Fist and that makes really hard to get 3 sword/katana weapons. The only way that it could be solve is do fans sword/katana and make ULB primarchs weapon with auto cap and more amply than ultima weapons
I will say the one saving grace when it comes to whatever kaguya fan equivalent that earth gets is that galleon staff doesn't have a rule like percy swords where you have to have 4 of a type of weapon but instead it's just 3 of the same weapon, so whenever that weapon comes out as long as you just use 3 of them it'll work out, but I do see what you mean about the lack of voltage synergy and I agree it's also dumb. And as for glorybringer burst yeah we could potentially be in a sticky situation in the future, at least hrunting and an ultima solve 2 of those but that does lock you into a katana/sword ultima which may not always be best especially with new characters, so I guess we just need to pray our fan equivalent is a sword or katana to straighten things out

first I didn't mean to side with Uriel's kit but, maybe for the stacks u can pair it with Lobelia and for self buff the other archangel also didn't have many buff and Gabriel's veil only last until end of the turn but yeah, the way other archangel gains a stack is much easier than Uriel. For now maybe we can use him as a backlines for the support skill that boost weapon skill XD
Yeah a few people have brought up lobelia but it's only one skill per turn with a slight refund on s4 or if you use s2 to reset things, and even with that it's going to be very clicky, slow, and lacks defensive measures
It's show how thing change, when Lobelia first introduced people really like to smash that skill button but now people want to fast pace gameplay, its also referring to his S3, that I also confused why it get animated XD
And even if u pair Uriel with Lobelia its still need to wait 3 turns for his S1 auto active and S2 -3T CD still not enough with 12T CD
For defensive, yeah when u have Uriel + Lobelia u already have 2 selfish attacker with no survivability kit, so it depend with MC or the 4th slot character
Wouldnt even say Uriel skill 2 is necessarily good, the skill specs bonus is so low
His kit is such a huge disappointment, my expectations were low but holy shit? I like uriel alot so im just. baffled at how poorly treated he is.
Gabriel was already bad and michael is starting to fall off already despite her wilnas synergy, but Uriel is even WORSE while still retaining the exact same DATA issues as them
His damage caps are low, his kit is clunky (though hcucu helps him ALOT) and his primarch passive barely has a place in earth because of how loaded backline is (Lobelia and diantha are both just...more valuable)

Michael and wilnas axe does both supplement dmg as well and they're both axe at that so yeah synergy, so where's Uriel synergy goes? Lmao l
@@reno9571 ewiyar was the same thing (So they can do ulb primarch weapons with 30% amply and problem done, fist fan would be a problem). But voltage 2 is only a extra only first pns help to get a little more dmg. Also no one use wilmas axe LMAO

You could do this but soriz is just really clicky and doesn't particularly bring anything of note to a team nowadays besides the skill damage so it's not preferred outside of certain scenarios
He is good, but his kit is bad for earth. Why? STOP Give us DPS CHARACTERS WE NEED NEHAN TIER BUFFERS! Also his prof doesn't work with world harps. But I think the most problem is PNS fist....Hrunting needs sword or katanas for bursting but if they following wind fan route would be Fist and that makes really hard to get 3 sword/katana weapons. The only way that it could be solve is do fans sword/katana and make ULB primarchs weapon with auto cap and more amply than ultima weapons
I will say the one saving grace when it comes to whatever kaguya fan equivalent that earth gets is that galleon staff doesn't have a rule like percy swords where you have to have 4 of a type of weapon but instead it's just 3 of the same weapon, so whenever that weapon comes out as long as you just use 3 of them it'll work out, but I do see what you mean about the lack of voltage synergy and I agree it's also dumb.
And as for glorybringer burst yeah we could potentially be in a sticky situation in the future, at least hrunting and an ultima solve 2 of those but that does lock you into a katana/sword ultima which may not always be best especially with new characters, so I guess we just need to pray our fan equivalent is a sword or katana to straighten things out
@@Ajt500 yeah hopping that galleon staff rule makes fans another type than fist, But I said it because wind didn't have good daggers weapon to use with pns, so they made it dagger to force ppl to use ewiyar dagger over fist grid (On this case earth hadn't gotten alternative before pns, so we could hope another weapon type that fist)

I will say the rate up on this banner is somewhat of a lie, i was lucky enough to get payila and my first michael on my 300th roll but everything before that had a bunch of rando. No uriel tho. Sad to see earth enjoyers getting pushed in the position fire was in back in 2021.
