Good picks, and I like the light in the background, how it changes every section. Hm... My faves are probably: 5. Eucalyptus Greek Yogurt - (Feels like aromatherapy. Great to unwind with after a long work day.) 4. Area 51 Bricc - (I don't know why, but the scent just clicked with me. It always made showers something to look forward to.) 3. Cold Brew Cleanse - (Not a huge coffee guy, but this one doesn't have that horrid fake coffee smell. It smells legit, and also has notes of sweetness. Feels like stepping into a cute little coffee shop.) 2. Pine Tar - (I love pine, exfoliating bars, and this was the first soap of theirs I tried. My skin immediately felt awesome.) 1. Drunk'n Pumpkin - (I loooove the scent of this one. It's intoxicating, and it sticks with you for a long time. Not only that, but I noticed it really meshed well with my natural scent, and kept me smelling good and feeling confident for hours. Plus, it looks awesome. I'm glad I bought a bunch of these bad boys when I could.)
Thank you, I was definitely doing some experimenting with lighting. I like your picks. I’m not a fan of the Cold Brew because I’m actually with you here and that is I hate coffee fragrances period lol if I had all the limited editions I would love to do a top 5 with those as well!
Im hooked on these soaps. Pine Tar is my favorite too. MARS BAR that was a special edition such as the Star Wars editions now., I should've got more when it was around.
Another great video brother! I love all your picks man, my top 3 soaps right now (not including the limited time soaps) has to be Spearmint Basil, Gold Moss, and Cool Fresh Aloe. Loved the video man, keep up the amazing work!
Pine Tar was the first bar from Squatch that I tried, mainly since it was their "flagship" soap. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. It had a musky scent very much like the Bond from Tactical Soaps but was an ounce heavier and three dollars less. Pine Tar and Deep Sea Goats Milk are in a dead heat for my favorites.
I liked the Maverick bar the best smell wise, followed by the Bond. The Durden had an OK to good smell for me. I didn't get any extra attention from any of the women at work, some I'm skeptical about about the effectiveness of the infused pheromones, especially at $10 for each 4oz bar. They came out with three additional "sequel" bars. I'm planning to try them, out but it won't be until next year; I'm that stocked up on new Squatch, Bearsville (highly recommended) and Duke Cannon bars.
@@BigBobster86 thank you for detailed response, I really appreciate that. I reviewed some of Duke Cannons soaps and I really enjoyed them, didn’t perform quite as well as some of the other soaps I reviewed but still solid. And yes I definitely plan on checking out Bearsville. I’m beginning to see them everywhere now
Too bad they changed the quality on Pine Tar and completely changed the recipe for Deep Sea Goats milk meaning it a whole different smell and action. Now it smells more perfume like
great video man 🔥 good top 5 list, absolutely love the alpine sage myself & pine tar. never tried the citrus but definitely next. 5. eucalyptus greek yogurt. 4.Bayrum 3. Cool Fresh Aloe 2. Alpine Sage 1. Pine tar. can’t wait to try cedar citrus though! I also really enjoyed Fresh Falls, as i wish that was a permanent soap, Same with Frosty Peppermint i really enjoyed as well! Loved the Goats milk too, but probably wouldn’t get again. Cold brew cleanse is a nice change🔥
That’s a really good top 5! I really do like the Greek Yogurt. Yes 🙌 the Alpine Sage is awesome! Fresh Falls would’ve been on this list for sure, if it wasn’t a limited edition then for sure! And Frosty Peppermint was really nice as a peppermint 🧼
Liked the pine tar but it broke in half after 5 showers then disintegrated very quickly. The cedar citrus dried me out. So far the gold moss is my favorite from dr squatch. I’ll recommend Rock Bottom soap co. Oatmeal milk and honey. Very moisturizing and smells great. The smell stays with you. Probably my favorite.
Dang, after 5 showers? I never had that happen to me! That's not cool, and I will definitely have to check out Rock Bottom some day for sure, thank you for the recommendation!
Disclaimer: This list does not contain any limited editions but rather only the mainline soaps! Also guys, I would love to know what are your Top 5 soaps by Dr. Squatch?!
5 Alpine sage 4 spearmint basil 3 Gold moss 2 pine tar 1 bay rum definitely the best in my opinion, also the scent does not leave this one nearly as fast
Update : Cool Fresh Aloe now INCLUDES aloe. And they changed the scent. There is no clover scent anymore. It's literally the title now. I'm not too impressed. The older scent was awesome. However, thanks to you.........I found a source for Aloe and Green Clover scent. I am going to be making my own. Thanks for the information. I also figured out a few more scents. Gold Moss is simply a type of Amber scent. Fresh Falls is possibly a fragrance called "Waterfall". I'm going to find out this spring because I'm going to make my own cold process soap.
First, I think it's really cool that you decided to make your own cold process soaps. I also noticed the scents for Dr. Squatch have changed over time. I may even have to redo some of reviews on these soaps honestly.
@@NaturalSoapMan After using them it's hard to go back to regular cheap soap. I'm not rich and Dr. Squatch is very overpriced in my opinion. Furthermore their base soap is actually a simple 4 ingredient (not including lye and the clays/sands...) soap. I'm going to try this recipe to avoid the palm oil if possible. 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil, 15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. I can find the various clay. sands, and activated charcoal as well. I found it on a soap making website. Worth a try IMHO.

@@NaturalSoapMan when i applied it with a loofah it was fine, but with a washcloth that's when it hurt. So I read a bunch of reviews on pine tar. I saw quite a few that said the bar does not last very long and almost disintegrates pretty quick. What's your thoughts?
Ok, so I have been hearing and reading those comments as well. Here is the deal for me. Pine Tar is an exfoliating bar, and almost all Exfoliating bars will melt faster than other bars just simply because how they applied to your skin. But I never experienced one that melted or broke on me in like 2 weeks. So I’m not sure what’s going on there. Now, what I always say or tell people is that you shouldn’t be using your exfoliating bar everyday anyway, but rather two or maybe 3 times a week. And the other days use a cleansing bar.
I know man, it’s crazy and humbling. But I just show up each week and post a review or video. I’m definitely not the best out here, but I sure as hell going to try and get better each week.
Yea definitely, the Pine Tar is actually supposed to feel like sandpaper being an exfoliating bar of soap. Yea I guess it hurts a little, but I guess I have gotten use to that feeling and actually grown to like it myself.
Alot of people are saying dr. Squatch is not what it used to be. Due to high demand they use a third party. And the scents are not as strong as they used to be. What are your thoughts? Thanks mate.
Oh they’re definitely not what they use, and that’s just based on my personal experience with them. Yea some are not as strong, but I really believe there is a subtle change in the overall scent itself.

I’m really not sure. I thought Nautical Sage made a lot of sense in my opinion. So, it was probably, if I had to guess, more of a business decision than anything else. Maybe they weren’t pushing enough of them, so they figured some rebranding or change some things up to create buzz and sell more.
