Yeah usually when my opponent positioned his goalkeeper in the middle I still go for the corner where the wall is standing. He still can't reach that and otherwise I go for a lay-off free kick
I will tell you the most useful way of tricking the opponent during the free kick. Choose your desired direction of kick. Press R1 once. The free kick is fixed now. Now move the camera to disorient the opponent and trick him that you are shooting at the other side. For example, you fix the free kick towards the right and the move the camera towards the left. The opponent will think you are shooting left but when you take the kick, you’ll shoot towards the right side. This takes some learning because while taking the free kick, the camera is somewhere else. But once you learn, its the most effective way of tricking your opponent.

Well basically you can play some mindgames with your opponent by adding a 2nd set piece taker and then it's all about accuracy, timing and power. If you master the shooting, then you will have a high chance of scoring free kicks mate.
@@Indominator94 Ok but I remain skeptical. I score basically 100% of them offline. They are too easy. But there's nothing you can do if your opponent moves his GK the correct way online. You double bluff him and aim at the keeper and he might triple bluff you. So it all evens out to a 50/50 really (against decent players who know to move the GK).
I got you man. Of course finally it will be the game of bluffing, but on the other hand if you're so accurate and precise in aiming, you do can score a lot of free kicks against top players man. It's just a matter of lots of practice and being confident in your decision.

You can lock your direction by pressing R2 and then aim the other direction. You can basically play mindgames with your mate with that 😉
