I think Bratt is still too low given the fact he had to play his first few seasons with the worst Devils team of the recent decades. Now that he has a good (and developed) center with him most of the time, he can and will produce at least 80-100 point seasons for the upcoming years. I assue he will end up being the the number 4/5 of this class after Matthews, Tkachuck and McAvoy - on par with Keller. Also Bratt has top 3 edgework in the NHL. JPITBPITNHL? :)
I think some people might say Tkachuk is a better first overall pick but heres why I don't. Matthews is a guy a bottom feeder team can build their team around. Not really Matthew though. However if its a choice between a guy like Matthews or Tkachuk for a CONTENDER like the Avs then I think they honestly should take Tkachuk.
Teams in the NHL should always be picking BPA (best player available). Jim Benning & Co. fumbled and picked out of necessity. At the time I also wanted the Juolevi pic, but I've learned my lesson. Canucks fans speculated that they wouldn't have selected Pettersson if they had already had Tkachuk. The Canucks were still under the Benning regime and history most likely would have repeated itself by selecting by necessity.
Do you agree with my NHL 2016 Draft "Redraft?" What other draft should I redraft next?
Nice to include Bratt. An underrated player until he was part of the All-star team!
some recent biases. took Thompson awhile to get to that level comparetively wouldn't someone take tkachuk at 3rd even 2nd overall?

Jess threw me a puck over the glass when i was a kid
Id still leave him at number 4 but thats just me
Sergachev actually played four games for the Habs. no points though, thanks for taking Drouin off our hands Montreal!
I think that Bratt is a lot better then Liane tbh
Hambruger ( Sorry for my bad english)
Flames drafted your 2nd and 3rd ranked players and I mean yes did lose them but still shows great scouting at this time
True they had good selections in that draft
Flames were really the only stupid enough to draft fox after he admitted he wouldnt sign with anyone but new york
the blues were a playoff team in 2016. what pick did they get tage thompson at? 20 something? steal
Yeah but he was never the player he is today while on the Blues. They would be in a much better place today had they kept him
@@jimmyhockey yeah he never got much of a chance with the blues. but aye we got the cup after moving tage for o’rielly.
@@jimmyhockey
Nonsense.the blues got a cup out of that deal.
Great video! Definitely deserve more subs. One of the better hockey creators
Only way the Canucks can recover from this draft is by winning the cup and having Noah juulsen play a game lmfao
Vancouver Canucks have recovered from that pick but considering some of the players they could have on the team its tough
Yea I’m just joking because Olli Juolevi ended up turning into Noah Juulsen. I guess Tkachuk is no longer with the flames anyways

Matthews 70+ goals this year
The USA had some amazing talent in this draft and looking back first 7 picks should have been American players
hi
👋
So many bust in 2016 draft😅
Canucks threw not taking tkachuk
Yeah they would be a real powerhouse with him and Petey
