I have the 820 and 830 both good sounding guitars but the 830 for $350.00 with get you as close to sounding like a D-28 martin as guitrs in the $1500.00 price range and up. Real close to the martin.

These are very well-made guitars, even if it’s made in China. Yeah I would prefer it was made in Taiwan or Vietnam or Indonesia or better yet Japan.
Red labels are made in and there’s a definite price difference . Bone or graphite nut and saddle and pins are an inexpensive way to upgrade this to a very nice sounding guitar!
It’s nice as is and plays and sounds better than guitars twice its cost . I have the FS830 and it’s a keeper and looks just like this being shown, just Concert size.

I bought a Yamaha fg830 today but it says Made in china, is it ok or is it some kind of fraud?

Bought a FG800J instead of FG830. FG830 sounded oh so slightly better but I just can't bring myself to buy a guitar that has a Made in China label smack dab in the middle, not to mention I'm not a fan of white binding. Nothing rock and roll about CCP. Jakarta, on the other hand, is pure metal.
