I am currently battling with severe depression. I am a babe in the Seventh-day Adventist faith and I feel as though no one cares or understands. I'm hoping that the Lord will bless me with friends that can relate to what I am going through so that I may have support. And I hope to one day be used by God to help someone in the same situation as I'm in.
depression is real! There are a lot of reasons for depression. Depression can be caused by so many things. It could be a thyroid problem or anemia. It could be lack of support. It could be that a person was abused by a narcissist, a bully, takers, sexual abuse, lack of finances, a disability that prevents a person from fully living. A person can be depressed if they emotionally take on other people's problems. You can also be depressed if you compare yourself or your life circumstances with others. You can have prolonged complicated grief. What about multiple losses like job in the Bible, he wished he had never been born. For anyone who says that depression isn't real has never had it. If you have any means to help a depressed person with a kind word, a visit, a prayer, go to the doctor with them, listen to them, take them out for a meal, call them regularly, invite them to church, be there. Just ask yourself, what would I need if I was depressed? You would need a friend, a confidant, you would need to know that you are not alone. Please don't judge anyone who is depressed. If you can't help them then just pray for them. Also, I forgot to mention menopause and hormone imbalances. Please don't judge!!!! How do I know all of this........from personal experience. I have been forsaken by people, abused, back stabbed, advanced, stolen from and lied to. This is why I turn to Jesus. He said he would never leave me nor forsake me. And, God knows it all and sees it all.Thank God for Jesus!!!! God bless everyone. The joy of the Lord is our strength!!!!

And once you overcome depression you can easily empathize with others who are going through it. In truth depression is demonic harassment making one feels guilty sad or unworthy but one must know that Jesus loves you , he forgives and takes the depress person back in his arms again when they realize the loss the mistake and repented. He will take you just as you are and lead you to the path of righteousness.

I would ask that you pray for those who are chronically ill. I have Lyme disease and it gets in the brain and it causes inflammation in the brain, not one area of the body does it not attack. But I speak about the infection in the brain because it’s like battling demons on a daily basis. It scrambles your thoughts, it amps your adrenals, puts you in constant fight flight mode leaving you in a shocked like state. 12 years I’ve been fighting this beast and it gets terrifying at times especially during treatment. Please pray for us there are millions around the world and it’s spreading. And the worst is the constant battle for sanity and everyone I know who had it battles with suicidal ideation. It’s a very scary disease yhankyou for your prayers
I found steps to Christ book on the ground when I was walking sat on my table for a year never even tried to read it then I came across the amazing facts channel on RUclips I knew that I was hearing the truth for the first time biblical truth and then I heard pastor bachelor talking about the book steps to Christ it all came together it is amazing how God uses this man to bring people back to Him

Depression is my greatest enemy, pray that all who suffer from Satan's # 1 tool, depression, would put on the armor of the holy spirit which renders those demonic attacks less debilitating. . . I find it very odd that the congregation in the beginning of the video begins laughing when Doug Batchelor mentioned struggling with depression. It actually speaks volumes and triggered me a bit.
This also reflects the time period, when the concept of depression was still not in the mainstream. However if a sermon were to be done today about depression it would be distinctly different.
Cause he said some of the most talented people struggle with depression then said he struggles with depression. They might have thought he was making a joke about him being talented

Get you vitamin D and B12 levels checked; these things can also cause depression. God bless
