It’s just the constructions that have clogged the storm water drains. All it needs to thatched authorities start cleaning up storm water drains. If you compare the storm water drains depth and width, say 4 or 5 years ago and now, you can recognise the difference. the water which was supposed to go into the soil is running around trying to find soil in the drains of the city... but alas the soil is nowhere to be found... and this water thought it may find soil above the drains in the city.. still it could not find soil... water is still searching for soil in this concrete jungle made by humans... and in the process flooding the city
The only RUclipsr tried to tell the complete story of what happened in Bengaluru. Even one media channel did basic research and blamed the city and its people.
It was Congress party leaders who let this happen in late 1990s KJ George was urban development minister and DK Shivakumar was also minister, both looted nicely and allowed encroachment of wet lands, lakes and waterbodies, today when Bengaluru has received record breaking heavy rainfall since 91 yrs, this part of Bengaluru suffered a lot, but rest of Bengaluru is doing fine. Well thank you for taking up this issue and feel sad that some North Indians as well as foreigners blaming Bengaluru and trying to defame brand Bengaluru which has given them place to live, IT hub to earn well & settle in life, pubs to enjoy, shopping centre to pass time, parks, hospitals, schools, college, IIT, Medical college etc., But one record breaking heavy rain made them to troll Bengaluru and say Bengaluru is dirtiest place to live etc.........sick mindset ppl, just remember even Kerala receive heavy rainfall every year & floods, Chennai floods every year, Delhi, Assam, Uttarakhand etc......then we never trolled them isn't it, but we helped them by crowd funding, transporting necessary daily use items & food materials, cloths, rugs, sweaters etc. that's how we see any natural calamities which is out of human reach, so ppl should stop politicising Bengaluru's record breaking heavy rainfall just because Karnataka is run by BJP govt, shameful mentality & dirty politics I must say 🙄😷🤦😡

i am from marathalli, one of the affected places. all the reasons you gave are absolutely right. corruption by bbmp, bda, and k'taka govt + heavy rain = disaster. even here the doddanekkundi lake has been encroached to some extent by apartments, but no one cares. another reason is that the rajkaluve (one of the main city drains) was recently given connection from new areas also, but the canal is only about 12 feet wide over here. so obviously the water overflows. the new areas were connected last year, so that is why this kind of flooding only started in november 2021 in our area
Galti ismei Government ki hai votes ke lalach mei yeh log kahi bhi encroachment ko hone dete hai. This is happening in every big city and which I personally hate the most.

There is no point of developing cities like Bengaluru,Mumbai or any tier 1 city more now. They have massive population and no amount of resources are sufficient to sustain such a concentrated population. It's time we divert our investments into tier 2 and 3 cities so that they develop and this time we can actually urbanise them in a systematic and planned manner.
Here drainage system and Rapid orbanisation are not responsible, the poor urban planning and appeasement policy are responsible no matter which party is in power in Karnataka.
The kind of rain which Bengaluru is going through is massive but one thing I assure you if this happens in any other metro city of India, it would have submerged atleast 70%. Despite rapid urbanisation Bengaluru is holding it's ground and have more ecological sense than any other city. Now the fact is we humans have this problem of concentrating all facilities and investment in one place and neglecting all others. Why can't we distribute out investments, why can't we have IT hubs all across India instead of choking Bengaluru with overpopulation. Why can't we have administrative centers all across India, instead of choking Delhi and making it power center. It is creating heavy pollution and just unsustainable destruction of ecological footprint. Why everything related to movies are concentrated in Mumbai. We have to come up with some solution of equal distribution and control this massive population burst. The equation is very simple resources are inversely proportional to population. Huge influx of people in any one city or state will always cause these problems. Make sure resources are distributed all across. Everything has limit. Cross the limit and suffer the consequences. And problem of encroachment is not only in Bengaluru, it all across India. We should address the mentality of encroaching first, why people want more than what they should legally have. Is there some issue with our legal system or is there some problem with societies. Ethics and morals seems to have been washed away by this crazy lust and desire of owning more. They have washed away even mere common sense of respecting the nature. Our culture taught us to respect nature and live with only what is needed. Greed is conquering the mind of people and societies are becoming mindless.

Culprits are Gooda Real estate people and corrupt politicians.
Still good people are there, brought the situation to decent one in short time.
Hope atleat now Govt will do the critical job of removing encrochments and built world class technologies to handle such situations.
It's a nexus between politicians and real estate developers and bbmp officials. Just look up who own the lands of the biggest tech park/apartment in silicon valley and how they managed to get permission to build them on lake beds. Filling mud on lake beds is a common practice in bangalore.
This guy is such a subtle manipulator he didn't even said about the corruption of BBMP and the government. Who gave the permission to real estate developers. This open letter channel is open only for favoritism
Yes, Due to Flood our company bus is arrived officie at 12:50 which was arriving daily 9 o clock in morning
Road infrastructure sucks at Bangalore. Irrespective of govt body, BBMP has always been reactive instead of proactive. You can't eliminate the problems of traffic, congestions and metro , let off the water management.
Well I'm from Bangalore but we don't have flood here the affected areas are outside the Outer Ring Road or what I call New Bangalore. But I live Inside of Outer ring road which is not IT HUB but old Bangalore where the administration takes places and this part is cleanly designed unlike the new extentions
Yeah even I am from Bangalore but new areas are pathetic bcz of corrupt BBMP who gave permission to buildings when they could have planned in the best way.
Please provide a detailed video on much needed issue of Northeast India , especially Assam Floods
well encroachment is biggest problem in this country
i live in Gurugram, municipality build footpaths with cycle tracks and within 2 - 3 months people start parking their bikes and cars jabki samne hi paid parking thi RS 20 for bikes and RS 50 for cars per hour and street vendors all encroched that area with their tea, chat and clothes stalls,
there are footover bridges here with both escalator and elevator but logon ko beech highway se road cross karni hai
idk kab log sudhrenge
aur ha ye kon log hai jo apni cows ko aise hi beech sadak par chod dete hai literally Cyber city vale ilake main cows ghum rahi hai aur beech m se BMWs ja rhi hai
🤣🥺😭😭😭
1-India's economy is growing well but not the mentality of people.
2-I saw a video of graduate chai wali(idk her name) in which she was crying and bashing on govt ki vo logo ko employment provide kar rahi hai n all and badle mai govt ne uska stall remove kar diya(encroachment case) . People were giving sympathy to her 😂 without knowing the reality. Ye stalls vale encroach karte hai n inke stalls remove karo tou RR karte hai.

And certain streets where they can set their stalls. I have seen this in many other Asian countries. You can't stop coz they are a part of lives of many ppl. But things can be planned to start with.

Aapke rainfall data mei galtiyan hai, Bengaluru ki IMD observatory ne June 1 se aaj tak 1031mm record kiya, aur jo HAL airport observatory hai (which is close to the areas which faced the worst floods) usne 1450mm record kiya hai iss saal
Then I have a question Why do we need so much development?
To beat China.
For jobs
Like why everyone needs to much ?

It’s just the constructions that have clogged the storm water drains. All it needs to thatched authorities start cleaning up storm water drains. If you compare the storm water drains depth and width, say 4 or 5 years ago and now, you can recognise the difference. This situation had occurred in oct 2017 also but then all the storm water drains were de clogged and encroachments removed. That’s why other areas have been safe. Weather change etc is just shifting the blame from recognising and dealing with the problem
very true bro.... flooding gave true picture... people are suffering... officals to be blamed with so called ... u know who
the water which was supposed to go into the soil is running around trying to find soil in the drains of the city... but alas the soil is nowhere to be found... and this water thought it may find soil above the drains in the city.. still it could not find soil...
water is still searching for soil in this concrete jungle made by humans... and in the process flooding the city
We need you to take a stand on

The only RUclipsr tried to tell the complete story of what happened in Bengaluru. Even one media channel did basic research and blamed the city and its people.
This guy is also blaming people but didn't even question government and BBMP who was responsible on why they gave permission to anyone in first place
Bhai lake par toh tech park bane hue hain. Ecospace and ecoworld were lakes areas earlier. Govt is extremely corrupt.
And BJP the party of God came now ... After 25 years AMRITKAAL there will be no flood

all the reasons you gave are absolutely right. corruption by bbmp, bda, and k'taka govt + heavy rain = disaster.
even here the doddanekkundi lake has been encroached to some extent by apartments, but no one cares.
another reason is that the rajkaluve (one of the main city drains) was recently given connection from new areas also, but the canal is only about 12 feet wide over here. so obviously the water overflows. the new areas were connected last year, so that is why this kind of flooding only started in november 2021 in our area
And outer ring road is not just 17 kilometre. i don't know where do u get all this information
Wats app University ?
Galti ismei Government ki hai votes ke lalach mei yeh log kahi bhi encroachment ko hone dete hai.

Funny pronounciation of Bengaluru...
Water remembers it's way
b'e'ngaluru - bae-nga-luru
I was like... Y am I not getting any cabs..
Had to return back home from midway 😅
