Thank you for the info and the info in the comments. The HDMI input 2 worked for me in regards to my Xbox allowing 1440 @ 120. Just curious, why are some of your settings whited out and not showing a number, what do you have your brightness set at?
that monitor only pushes out 1440p , no need to have 4k mode and hdr on . hdr mode actually bleeds the picture. its not good on that monitor. just keep it on 1440p mode and 144hz and youll have the best experience. also do you have a hmdi/display port converter? i know this monitor doesnt have hmdi 2.1
Hello i have too the chg70 game monitor and i play with ps5 but a dont have 4k120hz juste 1080p 120hz on call of duty can i have your settings monitor ?
I got the same monitor the CHG70 32 inch. Hoping 120 will work for me when I get PS5. I have never liked the HDR on this monitor. I don’t know if it’s the games or what but makes it look dull compared to normal
A lot of people say that about this monitor. I personally like HDR on this monitor. I think people are just use to the brightness and color pop with SDR on this monitor. I much prefer the spectacular highlight details you get with HDR.
@@ItzTheDay I can get this monitor to do 1440p @120 on the xbox one x but you loose HDR and Freesync until Microsoft enables or allows HDR at other resolutions other than 4k or 4k downscaled I don't have an series x yet but its probably the same restriction
Man that looks really problematic! Have you heard about Dell's S3220dgf? If I'm not wrong it has pretty much all Chg70 features (except it has hdr 400 which is lower) and also supports freesync up to 144hz through hdmi. I would like to know your opinion whether it is a better match for series x than 32chg70 (excluding chg70's hdr600). Thanks in advance!
It is, but I thought of something this morning I'm going to give a try later on today. If it works, I'll shot another video. Sorry, I can't comment on that Dell as I have no experience with it but I did look it up. If it's HDR you're after, it looks like it's going to do a poor job. It is only HDR400 but does peak in the upper 400's but the lack of local dimming will not you give you those inky blacks. SDR is very dim on that monitor too, which peaks out at just under 300 nits. The CHG70, in SDR and HDR peaks out at just under 600 nits so it's brightness is the same in SDR and HDR.
Yo bro any solutions yet ? İm using the same monitor with the one x . I heard from a youtuber that microsoft has plans to adding hdr to 1440p resolution ?
A solution is in the works from HDFury, an HDMI 2.1 to Displayport converter. It'll allow a 4k120 HDR VRR signal from the Series S|X and convert to 1440p120 HDR VRR Displayport. As far as Xbox allowing HDR outside of 4k, I haven't heard that. Hopefully that's true.
@@ItzTheDay yeah I know. I was replying to the guys comment who was saying he’s on a One X. Hopefully the HDMI 2.1 monitors won’t cost an arm and a leg when they come out 👍🏻
bro i'm ready to smash my monitor with a sledgehammer. I cannot get it to do 2k @120hz. I've tried everything. I have the 32" CHG70. Can you please tell me your settings on both the series x and the monitor? Thank you
@@chivatech ok, try holding your power button down for 20 seconds and then whole holding your power button down, hold the eject button down with no disc in. You'll hear a beep followed by 2 beeps. Then release and this should reset your video settings.

This monitor is HDMI 2.0 so it doesn't support 4k120. You'll need a monitor that had HDMI 2.1 for that support.

Do it work Bro on the PS5 ?
Yes the monitor works on PS5 but not with 120hz
Of course it runs at 120FPS in Full HD.
set freesync on the monitor to on before you turn on the xbox
This will on the CHG70 in 60Hz, but the FreeSync range on the CHG70 via HDMI is up to 100Hz.

You have to turn freesync off

The one x can’t run games at 120hz. It can play videos and movies at 120 tho.

You need a update for you monitor and turn off hdr
I have the lastest update. I solved this anyway.
