I just ordered today from Bowers for $129. I currently have Momentum 2 headphone. I listen to most Cigarettes after sex songs (bass and elect guitars) I find my Momentum 2 soundstage is a bit far away to hear the details of the cymbals , percussions etc. it’s more into the base and wider soundstage. I tried my wife’s Beats studio bud+ and the soundstage is closer that I could hear the percussions etc with enough bass and airiness to the overall sound. I hope the Pi5 S2 is in between MOMENTUM 2 and Beats Studio bud+ sound signature. Maybe I need just a bit brighter with bass sound.
I go over the S1 and S2 differences in this video and the one I just uploaded (PI7 S2 review and comparison video). Better battery life, better charge time, better connectivity, new colors, some updates to the app. I'm virtually certain that there is no difference in the tuning or stage between the S1's and S2's - haven't seen anything from Bowers and Wilkins on sound signature differences, and my ears confirm this for me as well.
What would be your choice between the Sennheiser true momentum 3 and the pi5, the most important thing for me is the volume and bass sound of the earbuds. Airpods and huawei earbuds lack alot volume if you compare it to the sennheisers. I have the true momentum 2 atm and want a upgrade to something new and this is my dillema. What would be your choice?
Hey, idk if this helps but… I have the Pi5’s but decided to switch the the Sennheiser true momentum 3’s because the Pi5’s just didn’t last long enough for me. But, I will be going back to get the Pi5 S2 or the Pi7 because the Sennheisers were not comfortable in my ear. They are much bulkier than the B&Ws and so for me wouldn’t sit as well over a period of time. The Sennheisers do have a good sound though. Good bass, clear representation of instruments and vocals. But, in my personal opinion I do prefer the sound of the B&W’s. The way they can produce such an accurate sound is pretty great! Both give great volume I think. Maybe the TW3’s have just a little bit more of a lower tone in general than the B&W’s. But still have a good sound. Also, the Sennheisers have better ANC. But the design of the earbud may help that with passive noise cancelling as well. I hope this helps a little! Just want to give you my experience with them!
Airpods have better wireless features - connectivity, mic, etc. They have fine enough audio quality, but are more focused on convenience. The PI5 S2 has fine enough wireless features, but really excellent audio quality - bassier balance than the airpods, far more vivid staging and imaging. If you're primarily using wireless buds for simply listening to music, the PI5 S2 is a great choice.
if you have tm7 and a good custom iem prob not, but why not i guess there are slight difference/improvements in 'fun' area you might want to hear anyways im 100% sure after owning one, they will left wondering how red halo and susvara sound like
Thanks for video. But please for next time, raise your audio gain by +50%, I have it on max in youtube app and max on laptop sound, can barely hear. And any other video after is twice as loud.

Do these headphones sound better than Sony WF1000XM5?
