My first car! this thing was indestructible and fun! We took it everywhere. And kept a case of beer in the trunk. Even slept in it when we stayed out too late. Loved it!
these cars used to be everywhere. Remember loads of them in south St Louis. Now I rarely even see a picture of one. This one looks like a great example. Love it!
Gergeus car 289 engine must be same engine they use in the mustang strong and powerfull engine 🤟 love this beautyfull car thanks jeff and Jordan for this
I like this cars look. Looks like Mustang hubcaps. My father-in-law ,now age 90, told me had one of these in the form of a station wagon he purchased brand new. He said it was a stick shift. HOWEVER he said that car was a lemon according to him. He got rid of it at about 50,000 miles.
This color is classic for the time, but I like it. This would be fun to drive at any car show or maybe an everyday driver. • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
I had one back in the late 80s, One thing to look for on these is Battery corrosion rusting out the Frame under the Battery Tray where the Strut Rod bracket is, Mine broke off going down the road!, Had it fixed by a Frame shop and ended up putting a 351W in it!
Nice looking ride !! Thank you for sharing !! You really do a great job on showing these vehicles !!! Be safe and God bless you and your family !!!!! Eddy
I bought a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 with a 289 in 1970 mine was red and white with black interior. Was a very fast little car, I traded it off on a 1966 Mercury Caliente with a big block 390 with 4 speed it was even faster and dangerous to much engine for the car...
Nice! Great color for that car. I see a blonde waitress in her 40's with a beehive hairdo and cat eye glasses driving that. lol Still a cool car though.

I bought a 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 with a 289 in 1970 mine was red and white with black interior. Was a very fast little car, I traded it off on a 1966 Mercury Caliente with a big block 390 with 4 speed it was even faster and dangerous to much engine for the car...
390, with a 4 speed...yeah, I bet that was plenty quick :)
My uncles neighbor has a 1965 fairlane it looks exactly like that but it’s a 3 speed automatic and it’s got 4,135 miles
Wish ford had stacked the lights and mounted the rear lights like the galaxie. Front end of the comet of the same year is way better
This car would make the perfect sleeper.
Yeah, it could be pretty cool. Thanks for taking a look!
I love it thank you
Glad you like it, thanks for watching!
Talk them into letting you do test drives on some of these machines
Trying to restore one the last couple years. Have a few .more to go
I had a 1965 Fairland same color no white top. Loved it...only problem was it sucked oil , 289 junk. 1972 or 1973
Bit like a Chrysler at the front, great car anyway
Thanks for taking a look Jim, we appreciate it!
Is it available I’m interested
Had one - fun little car. How much and where????
Ford was decent back then, not now adays
Same thing with GM, or all the American car manufacturers really
Right.

Those rims... why though?
why not?
@@koolkitties8552 looks trashy
Tydirium I don’t see them as trashy. Then again, I am the kind of person who prefers the factory steel wheels over aftermarket rims, so 🤷🏼♀️
Sharrrrrrrrp
I have one for sale.. poplarville Mississippi...if anyone is interested..... project car...
Do you have any photos of your vehicle
