In 1985: “I hate commercials!”
In 2020: Watching all the commercials I missed.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son in that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16
Ha! So true.
i wish they brought back the old burger king and taco bell logos
We couldn't avoid them at all on TV. Now we can't do anything but accept how much effort they put in making them which is still far better quality then what we have today.

Oh boy the childhood memories. I miss being a kid waking up on Saturday eating cereal and watching cartoons.
Yessir!
Me too but for me it was 70's Saturday morning cartoons.

I forgot there was so much singing in advertising in the 80's.
Seth Thomas yes and it was original. Now they just use classic 80 or 90’s tracks & it’s irritating

Andrew Man111 whats .wrong with black people?
@@michellem5647 Know whatcha mean. I mostly listen to old advertising jingles. The taste is gonna move you.

@@martinp9595 They are barely in business....barely.
I miss those coke slushy things from the little Walmart food courts
@Pine Barron Dude I have to disagree.
They all had Briggs & Stratton engines.
If you can't get a 5hp Briggs to last 3 seasons, you're fvckjng up big time.
When I was a kid I hated commercials except the toy ones, never in a million would I have believed that when I got older I would sit and just watch over 45 minutes of just 80s commercials and love it
yeah the toy commercials were RAD... the united states is all mexicans now, so no more quality products and design
Something nostalgic about it, thats for sure. When you think about it, all the best times were spent as a kid with the TV on.
The 80s were a magical time for music, gaming, toys, food, the ads are now a good visual reminder of what it was like. Priceless viewing!
Your not alone!
Lmao! This dude in the comments. “Mexicans ruined toys”. How about greedy companies cutting costs and having more and more made overseas.
Remember when Little Ceasers pizza really used to mean that you got two pizzas for the price of one....packaged in those bags on the cardboard bottom.....invariably, the paper bag top would slowly sag into the middle of the pizzas as you were driving home to eat. I worked at Little Ceasers when I was 16, I am 50 now, and I swear to God that I never worked harder in my life especially Friday nights during high school football season and New Years day bowl games....haha...good Lord
Yup! The paper sleeve would say, "this one you pay for" then the section above the other pizza said, "this one you don't." Even into the early 90's it was still awesome pizza. I think it's still decent today, but they cheapened their image for so long with the hot 'n ready model that people turn their noses at it.
Pizza Pizza..
And it tasted great..this new shit aint better than a frozen store brand pizza lol.
Pizza pizza...maybe an origami?
I loved the old style square pizzas
Has RUclips premium.
Watches commercials.
Graden love it!
Ha me too, but I hadn't put that together!
RUclips ads suck, 80s commercials rock!

Ronnett Norfleet I know. Despite the fact that I was young enough to be scared of Annie Lennox & Grace Jones, it was a much more innocent, hopeful time. This despite the fact that I waited at the bus stop with all the hookers (they were all very nice).
Me Too.
All the commercials in the 70s and 80s had original jingles. I loved it!
I've always dreamed of sliding down that Starburst slide of fresh fruits as a kid.
Remember when commercials had jingles? Now they just use old songs and change the words or use them for Febreeze or Applebees.
They literally just use boomer songs but put the medication name into the lyrics

Fast food was delicious in the 80's
Because it was actually real food in the 80s. Wish it still was today. ☹
Peecee that's true!! Also in the 90's too!! Mainly early 90's!!
that was before your taste buds deteriorated Grandpa
@@scharlesworth93 nope food is more artificial now than ever before and is prepared differently!!
@@nickj3513 Yep. Most fast food now is precooked in factories, bulked up with fillers to cheapen the cost, loaded with chemical preservatives to keep it from perishing during transit, and shipped prepackaged, ready to be unsealed and heated through at the restaurant. A very, very different process from what it used to be, when each store had to source most of their foods locally through wholesalers and cooked/prepared nearly all of it fresh, daily, on location.
I turned 18 in the summer of 85. That was a really good year.
So did I! Good times.

Back when Taco Bell still put olives in their burrito Supremes.
I miss the green onion on the Mexican pizzas
@Rat in the toilet Someone in the one of the other commercial compilation videos mentioned that up until around the late 80s or early 90s, Taco Bell franchises made most of their food fresh. They had to source ground beef locally and get vegetables from a wholesale grocer; the most the corporation provided food-wise was the spice packets for the meat.
I think that changed shortly after Yum! Brands acquired the corporate property along with KFC and Pizza Hut. Not coincidentally, the food from those restaurants all went to shit around the same time.
Back when they used real beef and cheese. 😆
I wish they would bring back the original Enchirito!!! My HS boyfriend worked there, and my parents loved to go there when he was working because he made the food just like the pictures LOL
And olives on the Mexican Pizza!
I MISS THESE GOOD OLD COMERICALS.I MISS 1985.I WANT TO GO BACK.

Tacobell tasted AMAZING in the 80s!!! I remember the taste like yesterday.. a HUGE difference in taste today which doesn’t compare! Even the nacho tortilla chips taste better back then but now they lack chives 😪
I watched Siskel and Ebert CONSTANTLY. I loved them even though I didnt go to movies much. :)
They were more entertaining then any movie you would ever go to!

I was 24 during 1985. The decade with the best music, and good TV shows. I miss that decade. It was a happy one, adults seemed to smile more, and we seemed more carefree.
I love how the right mirror is optional on cars back in 1985.
Ya man i remember going with my dad to buy a nissan pickup. Right mirror and even rear bumper was aditional option.
Anything to increase aerodynamics and fuel economy. 🤷♂️
Hondas were known for this. There is still an old accord somewhere around my neighborhood without the passenger side mirror.

Phil Hartman really nailed that commercial-guy impersonation.
This is major nostalgia. I was 7 in 1985. Thanks for posting!
Irony...I'll spend 10 minutes watching this video, but skip videos that start off with an ad.
That's because today's ads suck!

2020: vehicles with 10 airbags, backup cameras, distance-pacing cruise control, lane departure warnings, self parking.
1985: 4:05 "right mirror optional"
hahahahahahahaha....
On the plus side, that wagon would probably run for 15 years or more without any major issues other than normal preventative maintenance.
Good eye. Yes, I remember my parents buying us kids a new civic in ‘87 and talking about buying the ‘optional’ mirror. At the time Ferrari had a car out with one mirror and I thought it might be cool just to have only one on our civic. 😂
It’s still not a requirement. At least not where I’m from. Probably be better to stop putting them on so people will have to pay attention on the roads instead of their phone.
I've seen some of these still running in quite good shape , that's impressive , no modern car will run past 10 y mark without huge investments
Fun fact: Alpo dog food used to smell like death warmed over, but dogs used to LOVE IT. They would inhale the stuff. Then they changed the recipe to make it stink less for the dog owner's sake and the dogs stopped loving it. They'd eat it, because they'll eat anything, but you should have seen the delight when the used to eat the original recipe. It was a sight to behold.

God, the 80's/90's just seems like a whole other world.
I saw "Once Bitten" at a drive in, I was 11 years old I had no idea who Jim Carry was back then
I don't think many people did
That's right, he just looked like some young actor
That's all he was at the time. Not the megalomaniacal weirdo we know today
That's right, fame and money combined if you let it go to your head can produce a Jim Carey of today
Jim Carrey has no idea who he is now too. Guy lost his marbles.
I remember when you walk into taco Bell in the 80s it would smell so good cause they actually made the shells there...
This is the year I was born, watching these makes me feel very old
There was so much innocence in these commercials. The commercial about IBM computers is funny in that there was so much optimism with the introduction of computers to run businesses. Little did we know back then that all this technology would open up a pandora's box. The conveniences we enjoy today as a result of technology have come with a price.
It feels good to see old shows, commercials, movies, etc! From the past 80’s, 90’s thanks for the memories! I sure do miss those times! Everything was good then! Now look at were we are today! Everything gone down!😕

Mandela Effect: Who else remembers the movie critic show being called Siskel & Ebert not Ebert & Siskel.
Yeah exactly
It was actually "At the Movies: with Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert", however in that particular commercial it was Ebert & Siskel due to how they were sitting, more or less letting you know who is who. It still was / is Siskel & Ebert, at least until Gene Siskel died.
I saw so many movies based on their recommendations.
So you're asking who else remembers the show being called what it was actually called? I do.
Mandela effect is fraud, and this proves it.
