That’s why I don’t believe in paying for peoples expensive”NAME BRANDS” which is just the same as lower priced perfumes with more oils in them I’ve learned you can get great long lasting perfumes at all prices. And I got them all!! Thank you for all your hard work you I really appreciate you.❤

I love the tarnished look on my Chloe bottles - it’s real silver! Not plastic metal. It’s like an old cashmere sweater worn but loved. We’re entitled to our tastes!

It’s sterling silver! Just polish it with a polishing cloth. Sterling silver is a vintage look

Yes at first I also thought something was wrong with the bottle material but checked and it was silver so now I just polish it with my jewelry cloth when gets more tarnished 😅

What im starting to notice in my perfume journey is that most Designer scents have similar mid notes-it's the top notes that they use to draw you in. this year I'm being much more selective in what I purchase and make a dent in my collection.

The Chloe is made with real silver so it tarnishes. Three parts baking soda to one part water and cleaned with a soft towel will clean it up (though not wanting to polish your perfumes is understandable 😂)

I just use a jewelry polishing cloth and it takes off the tarnish in a few seconds.

The metal on the Chloe bottle is Sterling Silver. When it tarnishes clean it with silver cleaner. Mine tarnishes as well but try that and it'll look good as new.
The Chloe perfume silver is real. You have to polish it. Its just that silver needs polishing. I prefer real silver to plastic that looks like silver. At first I was mad too but then I found out why it turns that color and was like well I guess I am ok with it then.
How about she just prefer not to do that!

Hello Rhonda!!! I agree with you totally about niche fragrances… Or just perfumes in general… If it’s a beautiful scent I will purchase it even if it’s a little costly… And I hate perfumes with too many notes in them…. So I agree with you hun!!!💜

I am a perfume enthusiast for a very long time. Have a 300 fragrance collection. I do believe the Chanel exclusifs the cupcakes the house of ouds which are included in my collection can be knocked out by a few cheapies. I think maturity is a matter of preference
I love ❤️ when u come on, & give it to us straight! I feel u & I do agree! Some of the niche fragrances has entirely too many notes, making it smells terrible, as some of the celebrities fragrances. And u have most designer fragrances, smelling better than some niche. It all comes down to what someone likes best.

Like my music my perfume is eclectic. I buy what smells good. I don't gravitate to one more than the other. There are daysI enjoy a floral, fresh, sultry, woody, earthy. Don’t put me in a box.
To add to your point all quality niche fragrances aren’t necessarily more expensive than higher end designer even when they are high quality.

Hi Rhonda, you made a good point about the maturing nose. Some perfumes are still too challenging for my nose but it has matured over my 25 yr journey of fragrance buying. 🥰

I heard with the Chloe fragrances that they’re made to naturally tarnish. I don’t know but I sold mine. I couldn’t take it.

I have the same Chloe bottle and I think it is because it's real silver which tarnishes. You can probably buy a silver cleaner to brighten it up.
I agree, I love Chloe by chole but they can do better. I stopped buying because it would tarnish so fast like come on now. Love the scent but let's do better. Bc if we're honest we pay for the fragrance and packaging.
Hey! So a little trick to get rid of the tarnish: toothpaste rubbed with a microfiber towel will get rid of it! Its not right to have to do something like that but it works well. The paste not gel!

Love when you speak your mind and put us on speaking facts, I'm not really too impressed with much fragrances that have been coming out lately. I'm getting more into sampling niche and indie fragrance houses they seem to be more interesting. I will still sample designers but alota indie houses are swinging in hot with creative energy. And also discovering hidden gems that have been around for years.
It does tarnish but you can fix it (if you want to) if not you can leave it like that.
In 2014 when I was on another acc I had posted in the Chloe comments how to clean it and it is very easy.
The thing is that this metal is genuine sterling silver (read the little card that comes with it) like any other jewelry it gets tarnished with time.Just use tooth paste and a toothbrush or a piece of cloth and clean it with that or you can always buy any sterling silver cleaner. 
No time for polishing. The bottle shouldn’t tarnish in less than 3 months 😎

I’ve seen so many people complain about the Chloe bottle and I think the reason it gets tarnished is because it’s silver plated, which is actually a very beautiful touch. It just requires a bit of polishing from time to time.

I haven’t bought any designer perfume since early last year. The notes are the same, the prices are making no sense, and designers just keep bringing out more and more, trying to upstage each other. I’m very selective with my perfume purchases.
I have almost 200 bottles from niche to small batch to indie and clone houses to $10 cheapie. I’m a fraganteur-my made up word-I like to smell everything. In 2023, I’m doing samples because I can’t use what I have as it is. I’m trying to be delivered from purchasing all these perfumes.
I feel you on the Chloé bottle. The bottle is cute but the tarnishing of the metal makes it ugly. I get tired of having to grab the toothpaste to remove the tarnish. I also don't display the bottle. I keep it in the original box.

my mum got Chloe Nomade and the packaging , the metal part, was chipped within the box! As it was present she couldn't return it....

Yes my Chloe tarnished. I have to clean it up with a dry cloth it comes up like new again but I don’t want to have to keep doing that. I do like the scent though it projects good and is long lasting.

Glad to see you in the swing of things Rhonda! It's fab to hear you address spray less perfumes....when I go to the store and ask for a sample of some 300tt or more fragrance and they tell me there's no tester, I giggle and say there's NO WAY I'm buying anything that price without testing.
It reeks of trying to get money for a brand name while hiding that the scent may be sub-par. And yes! These fragrances with so many notes that are not worth it... Thank you for your honesty!
Yes, I think all fragrance brands should at least sell 1ml samples of their fragrances.

I am currently reading a fictional book about a woman that creates fragrances for her family international business...I noticed that when she develops a scent it only has about 3-5 notes...Fiction is derived from facts..

Hi. The PATINA on the bottle is kormal. It means that there are Silver particles in it. It is the quality of the cap

New and Re-releases don't last and are not unique. Even if you have an abundance of disposable income, you feel like a chump for throwing away your money on junk!
Oh my goodness yes, I just looked at my Chloe Bottle today and said what is going on. I almost tossed it because I thought it had gone bad, but once I sprayed it, it was fine.

That discoloration happened to my Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue bottle. It looked molded. I tossed it away, because I believed that the inside of the bottle was the same way. I felt as if I could be spraying that mold on me.
But the Chloé smells sooooo good....can't we by pass that and live?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
