I have literally been in a group of cars alongside a cop car, doing 10 - 15 under the speed limit, as they all refused to pass the cop.
The cop smugly continues his speed, fcking with the group of cars. Everyone is frustrated, but nobody passes the cop. After about 5 min, I decided it was gonna be me. I'm legal, cars legal, no problem. So I do about 5 under and take the left lane. Everyone watches.
Cop speeds up a bit and rides alongside for a minute, just grinning and staring. I'm sweating my speedometer, trying to get away from this mess. (Suspicious people and cop fuckng with them.) Finally, I gradually pass at 5 under.
This gives courage to several other cars, and the cop gives up the game.
Just another FL afternoon.

I can relate to every single one of those situations LOL !!
They started building those round- abouts in the villages and they're very confusing. And most Florida residents come from other states. It's like mixing bowl.

Now I know it’s not an out of state driver thing, but I think there needs to mention somewhere about that moment.

When you’re cooking along at 80mph, along with everyone else, radio cranking, thinking, “Heck, I’m a Florida driver. What’s so special about those Grand Prix drivers. I could..”
Then that Ducati and his buddy on his Hayabusa pass you on both side at about 130mph.

My biggest nemesis driving in Florida was the Canadian. The type of person that spins the tires to get in front of you to drive 17 in a 45.

I was brought down to Florida in 77 when I was like 13 and this is the state I learned to drive in. I can be a pretty aggressive driver but I'm also pretty chill (it's when you get stupid and endanger me or my vehicle that I get 'testy'😂). Now I really never knew Florida had it's own style of driving till I started watching these videos. 😂 It's like 'wait they don't drive like this in other states?' 😮😂 Keep these vids going Wicks!! 😊

Let me tell you of a technique I have for determining if I need to go the speed limit or not. I have what I call piggy treats. A piggy treat is someone who drives so incredibly fast and so unsafe that the cops can not ignore this person. The very second that person zooms by you then that means that any cop that sees em is gonna go after em first. Now what you need to do after the piggy treat passes is keep a safe distance behind while not going as fast as him. The piggy treat will hopefully lure out the cops who will bust him and ignore you. This trick has been remarkably effective in the past. I remember cruising to orlando thru polk county at 80 mph when I had four cars zoom by at 100 mph. That is when I decided to slow down a touch because polk county highway patrol is notorious for setting up multiple cars at once to grab speeders like bears catching salmon. Sure enough they bagged all of the drivers while I cruised by at the speed limit. If not for the piggy treats I would have easily been one of those unlucky guys. If you are worried about getting a ticket its best to allow a couple piggy treats to drive ahead of you so you know there is no cops ahead.
So they don't have multiple cop car speed traps in your part of the state? Up here in the panhandle it's not uncommon to have three cops on the same stretch.
@@Steve-ev6vx I've seen FHP do 6+ Nothing like coming around a bend and seeing a fleet of patrol cars lying in wait! I've since moved on but it used to be: keep it under 80 and you're good unless you're either catching up to them of they are catching up to you (then slow down and move over).

Hey now, I'm a displaced Floidian. When I drive back down to see family, my FL driving skills kick back in. Except in prime PoPo area (I-75 / HighSprings. & most of the Ronald Reagan). Then my out-a-state tag makes me a victim.

Nailed every single one. I'm from Michigan and I was surprised to see the amount of people changing lanes with no turn signals down there. We use our "blinkers" up here very liberally.😂 I quickly came to the conclusion that yes, if someone uses it they are NOT from Florida.

I love you wicks.we are from the same train of thought. You got to 10 to 12 MPH over speed limit to induce fair flow. While there are some places,that need speed limit. When you said, 20 miles under speed limit in fast lane,we'll need to revoke that license,😉

I have two driving. The fast on the interstate and the slow when the light is red. Some drivers are in a rush like sir the light is red why are you rushing your too have to come to a complete stop and I learn for some of the lights how fast I should drive to where the light turns green. For example one light if I drive 14-15 mph by the time I get to the light it turns green. Now that this only works at night time. Day time however the red lights last longer. Like I’m not a slow driver but I’m not rushing to get a red light either

Well I disagree. Just drove I10 JAX to Mobile & back. Have made this drive 3X in past year and the drivers causing issues were the idiots with FLORIDA tags tail gaiting cars going 90+MPH with multiple cars in front of them & a semi next to them. FLORIDA good ole boys in their hot rods & those huge freaking trucks. Really wish you would drop that one & stop encouraging dangerous driving. No one outside of Daytona speedway needs to be going 100+ MPH on any road. Trust me I did 30 years as a trauma nurse I've seen it all & at those speeds we cant put you or your victims back together again Humpty Dumpty. Love your OTHER stuff but not the speed crap.

Right they act like the road closes permanently if they miss the turn. I can't imagine risking my safety/life or that of others for a turn. My brain just ain't wired like that.
