- AKA Purest Feeling, these 1988 demos were recorded at The Right Track Studio, Cleveland, OH. Each track is significantly different than those found on NIN's (Trent Reznor) 1989 debut Pretty Hate Machine.
Wow, this is TRULY amazing... holy crap. This exceeds the album version. Like some commented on another video I watched, the true talent definitely lies in the demos. It showcases the vision. This version captures the emotion much more than it does on the album. Love it.
Now this is versatility. The extra strength is something that most keyboard rock bands in the 1980s desperately needed.
I prefer this version.
I wish he would’ve made one more album like this before the magic was lost
Trent needs to work with Adrian Sherwood and Keith Leblanc again.
The drumming sounds like it's reznor on them haha. Love these demos.
The beat of this matches the song more than the album version. I love it.
Shredding on the CASIO! IFL Trent Reznor always
awesome...thank you for sharing
Šharing ńeedles is caring
that bass guitar line thing in the verses reminds me of "it's my life" remake by no doubt
makes me wonder how much on the album was him and how much was to do with the producer.....still very cool
Music that is not over produced is good music
Wow, i checked that out in ninwiki, true.
Omg!! Better than the original! Just a little bit less whiny!
This sounds better than the one on PHM. The production quality is better than PHM. I wonder why too cause you think at this point Reznor didn't have much money either.
I played drums on all these tracks.
yea foreal very 80's but i love it!!
I think the whole feeling on the pretty hate machine version matches the lyrics of the song better than this one.
I take it I'm the only one who finds these versions even better than the PHM ones?
One person sucks. The rest keep it up! I love this version better than the released version.
kudos
i dig it...im a beat freak
I love how different this sounds to the album, prefer the demos tbh
actually its true ... he did..look it up
now this screams 1980s haha
better than the one from phm
You're a drum machine?
It’s like Madonna mixed with Depeche Mode
way too funky for a depressing song
I think he was relying too much on the goofy funkish sound in his pre-broken machine stuff.
