we're having housing problems in Canada.....every province except one has exhorbitant rental/ purchase prices. If you're a pensioner, you can't afford a one bedroom apartment if you're only on Canada pension. That's because we went from 30 million ppl in 1997 to 40 million in June 2023....and 97% of them were immigrants. No one has been building extra housing for those over 25yrs, so now ppl are scrambling to get anything available. The UK seems to be suffering from the same problem.
