My mom used to have Kenny G albums on cassettes and she would let them run all day. I always enjoyed his music. I also play sax and I see other players changing horns and mouth pieces. Mean while Kenny is over here with the same horn and same mouthpiece to the point dude has worn teeth marks into a metal mouthpiece. This is what it really takes to get a good sound. It's not so much the kit your playing on it's the ammount of time and how you spend that time while practicing.
Hello, I heard that song when I was 13 years old in 1988, and at 48 years old it is still one of the songs most full of love, a song full of love, peace and nostalgia. Brilliant Kenny.

I have seen Kenny G 4 times (loved each time) Kenny played "ESTER" 3 times out of the 4 I saw in concert. In the 2 one, after playing "ESTER," he explained that Ester was the name of his beloved grandmother. Now I am a grandmother, how meaningful that was to have a loving grandson, in a very hectic career, remember his grandmother! Song is even more beautiful knowing the story. Thoughtfulness 😊❤️

My best concert experience was seeing you and Michael Bolton play together. We walked into the Greek Amphitheatre in Berkeley, Ca and sat against the wall. We thought we had bad seats. Boy were we wrong. At one point in the concert you propped a box literally right in front of us and played your saxophone. I could see the etchings on your instrument...it was a moment I will never forget. This song (I seem to recall it was about or for your grandmother?) is such a beautiful piece...hands down one of my favorites.

This song is beautiful for its simplicity. The band accompanies and doesn't overwhelm the soprano voice. I like this much better than some of your songs accompanied by orchestra. (Although you did a great performance with the FWSO a few years ago in Bass Hall.) This sax is really descriptive in this rendition. Love it!

Saw him in concert so many years ago...feels like lifetimes ago. He had some pretty girll lick the stem-like piece that goes in the instrument. It was just such a sexy, classy way to start a night filled with mellow tunes that bring out so many mixed emotions...both bitter and sweet, but more sweet than bitter.
