I think is different. Inside kpop industry they are real singers who are often Main vocalist. Taeyeon is a natural born singer. Kpop industry is for enterteiment.

the thing is big 3 group nowadays doesnt have "the super vocalist", while international fans only looking up to these groups, so the assumption became like that, also its more focused to showmanship. luckily many medium size gg from 3gen still have these monster main vocal.

She was already so good even at such a young age... her voice just conveys such an enormous amount of emotion... to me she honestly is the best female singer in the world :)
they say she's lacking facial expression for the song.. but i think its just enough, her voice is already emotional and making a face or gesture can exaggerate the emotions.... even if she wear normal clothes, with a poker face her voice is enough for me to consider it ballad.
