- Well Here it is in all of its cropped to death glory!! I really do apologize as I did everything I know to get this up in the best possible way I could! I'm still newer to this and I am trying to learn all the tricks and tips to editing but this is the best I can currently do!! The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. The open body and strings of the kobyz from a bunch of 30-60 untwisted horse hair give a very thick, overtone-rich timbre. 🔝🔝

Yup....( if you listen to it in a relax state)you can even feel your body vibrating for a few minutes after. Not kidding. His music and voice is used in Spychology therapies.

This video always seems to give reactors fits hen they try to put it up on youtube, but it's such a great song that we all want to share it and hear people's opinions about it. THX for persevering and finally getting it to display. And thanks for listening to the end--I always like to see Olzhas Kurmanbek (the kobyz player) get his recognition and most reactors turn the video off before Dimash introduces him. The piece would not be the same without the eerie sounds of the kobyz.
Dimash is not an alien he is just a gifted man and besides that he took that gifted voice he has and he trained it to almost perfection .to say he is an alien is almost like disregarding his hole lifes work .
Thank you for your reaction! I saw him live in New York in 2019, so I can guarantee that he is for real. This is the result of great talent, trained and honed with hours of daily practice since the age of 5. Saying he must be an alien seems to be a universal reaction. I think I would welcome aliens if they were truly like Dimash!

Stranger is a song that gave me "vocal flashbacks" too. I believe the song has been created to inspire us to consider the challenges that "strangers have trying to adapt to a new land"🤔😲
I think the middle section with the incredible use of Middle Eastern 1/4 notes and 2 higher voices are meant to represent foreign men, women, and the high pitched squeal of children.
(Sure wish real children sounded this good in the higher registers🙄🫤)
I love when Dimash sings in his lower register and I have been very excited by many of his newer songs which include more of that register.🤩🌹
My favorite part of this song is when he charges out of the flames using his "power" voice
and adds that incredible 20 second long final note.
Wipes the sweat off his nose, and immediately goes into shouting out Igor (composer/pianist) and the Kobys player.

Dimash becomes angry if anyone suggests he is Divinity.
He is Muslim and he believes it is blasphemy to insinuate anyone other than Allah, whom he calls the Creator and the Almighty, is Divine.
He also becomes angry is anyone askes him if he is dating, engaged or married. He says all of that is his personal business not the business of anyone else.
He also does not tolerate being asked about his philanthropy. Some news about him helping others snuck out about it a few years ago and though he is Muslim, he quotes from the New Testament "do not even let your right hand know what your left hand does.
These are his strong pet peeves I have observed over the past 6+ years of watching him.

Suggestion: He did an original song/video for a sci-fi film called Creators - The Past. The song is called "Endless Dimensions". But you have to listen to the ORIGINAL video because the background visuals are from the film. He will be wearing a white jacket with black "veining", which ties into the song and video. Well it's good you went with this version since it's the only original full length version MV out there. There are a couple of reworked versions that he has done at other performances.

At the beginning in Stranger it sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobys. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound.
Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again"
