A380: many deaths at missile impact, no survivor due to fire:
Osprey: no survivors
Other Osprey: couple passengers die by falling off
Chopper: pilot alive, everyone else dead
Vtor: pilot dead, 2 survivors possibly
Chopper: everyone dies in impact
777: 4 deaths at missile hit, disintegration kills all

1. The floor collapsed so that's some people who are dead. Still a good landing.
2. The plane burned when you landed, so you failed.

For 1 i think it only hit the cargo bay, yes it would affect aerodynamics and luggage would be lost but i dont think anyone died

Whoever's firing these missles should request that they get a return on their money. Because not one of them blew up any of the aircraft.
Actually there are many missiles that tend to explode just in the proximity of the flying craft. The shrapnel from the missile exploding damages the aircraft beyond any manuvering capability. And the proximity missiles are considered much more effective than the ones that directly strike the craft as the direct ones require more precision whereas the proximity one can simply get inside a good radius of the aircraft and just explode.
It makes it scarier actually to think they didn't want them to explode. Just punch a crazy hole in the plane to bring it down without a boom and flash then when the plane is in small pieces just say some malfunction happened
@@nicholasp884 Actually that's exactly what it was used for before. But now the forensics have become so advanced that it is literally impossible to cover up anything like that. Still missiles with proximity fuse are far more effective and efficient than direct strike missiles.
Those are missiles designed to not explode. They purposefully strike critical parts to bring the plane down without destroying it/the contents. They are similar to APFSDS but with a rocket slapped to it.

Neat idea and animation. Surface to Air missles do not typically hit the plane fuselage. They are typically heat seeking or heat targeting and strike the engines thus making it pretty dang hard to manuver to land. But, it has been done.
2:33 this whole sequence was a nailbiter. Two missiles have blown off three rotors and the back end, you think at any moment the remaining rotors are going to fail from structural stress, but no! The V-66's system redundancy and the pilots' skill save everyone onboard

The vertical starter (Nr. 3) was pure charity, the cockpit got totally destroyed but the passengers are rather safe

I have to say big mathis, amazing job on the v-66. It's so huge it looks like it can fit beds in. Thumbs up.
1: Other than the initial missile detonation, likely all passengers survived. SC (Survival Chance) ~99%, Success
2: Very low survival rate due to the massive amount of skin removed per the missile, in conjunction with the firey landing. SC ~3-5%, Failed.
3: Given that aircraft 3 is a cargo aircraft, no other passengers were on board except for the pilots. Since the nose was crushed on impact, likely all pilots were killed. SC ~2-3%, Failed.
4: Another cargo aircraft. I'd predict that all pilots survived due to the soft landing and minimal damage to the cockpit area. SC ~99%, Success.
5: Despite the aircraft cracking apart, I'd estimate a high survival rate due to the soft(ish) landing and the fact that the aircraft remained, for the most part, intact. SC ~70-80%, Success.
6: Everything went well up until touchdown. Appears to be a military plane given the external gunnery on the fuselage. I'd estimate a lower survival rate due to the fact that the plane broke apart and the nose area was substantially damaged, whether soldiers were in the back or not. SC ~55-60%, Failed.
7: A drastically low survival rate given the hard impact and explosion on the ground. SC ~5-10%, Failed.
8: No survivors whatsoever given the clamshell disintegration and explosions, followed by a complete breakup upon ground impact. SC ~0%, Failed.
9: Cargo verticopter, pilots likely didn't survive due to heavy damage to the nose area as well as substantial damage to the aircraft as a whole. SC ~20-25%, Failed.
10: Cargo verticopter, light damage to the rear of the aircraft and virtually no damage to the nose, combined with a very light touchdown means the pilots were highly likely to survive. SC ~100%, Success.
11: The MIRV missile removed a sizeable chunk of the left fuselage, combined with a hard(ish) landing and engine explosion on impact means that survivors were likely few, with virtually all of them being in the overwing area of the plane. SC ~3-5%, Failed.
12: The spinning forces of the aircraft combined with an open-air MG likely threw some occupants from the helicopter. Still taking into account the fact that the aircraft was of the military class, I'd estimate a moderately low survival rate given the force of impact and spinning. SC ~25-30%, Failed.
13: Despite the aircraft rolling on its side upon landing, the engine explosion was mainly confined to the top of the aircraft and did not spread beyond this point. SC ~80-85%, Success in terms of survival, failure in terms of monetary damages.
14: Normal touchdown force, and, due to the aircraft being that of the cargo class, the pilots were highly likely to have survived. With some fixing up, the craft should still be airworthy. SC ~90-95%, Success.

1st crash: I would say 95% survived because of the missile and anyone who didnt die to that or get sucked out probably survived
2nd crash: everyone died because the plane caught fire on impact and quickly burned anyone who didnt die to the missle
3rd crash: anyone in the cockpit is dead... since it's probably just pilot and cargo everyone is dead unless you were in the middle
4th crash: landing was great and I was surprised it held together everyone made it out
5th crash: I'm surprised anything was left but most are dead about a couple of people who didnt die in the blast or on impact
6th crash: pilots are dead or severely injured and the passengers probably had a rough time too so most if not all are dead it's an iffy
7th crash: everyone is dead... died on impact with the earth
8th crash: everyone is just gone in which you can see an arm 5 miles from the wreck it was awful
9th crash: as it's a cargo VTOL pilots are probably the only ones there and they are dead
10th crash: wonderful as everyone survived with little to no injuries, textbook
11th crash: sadly everyone is dead because no landing gear and I'm surprised the left wing survived until impact
12th: everyone is dead on impact because the rotors gave way at a large height
13th: some people made it out alive if they didnt die from impact or the fire but the landing kept them alive
14th: everyone I would say made it out with minor injuries even with the major damage to the plane bravo
The damage on the first plane seemed really underrepresented.

Maybe you shouldn't do those tight turns. This puts to much stress on the crucial parts of the fuselage.
Depends on airspeed. If you’re exceeding VA, it’s allowed.
But with the damage in some of these cases where there are actual holes in the lug structure, any kind of movement could be disastrous, no matter the airspeed.

First, when someone fires a missile at your plane the correct response of to fly directly towards the incoming missile. Just before you collide put your plane into a steep dive. That's how the wild weasels did it over Sam alley in north Vietnam.
