Dan, You are a Beautiful Human Being! As a kid, we covered every old gold mine between Baker City, Sumpter and Prairie City Oregon. Now I am a retired Neuroscientist. I wish I could come up and whack rocks with you for a few days. Thank you! for taking me back to my treasured times with My Dad! I miss him dearly. Respect!
All the members of the Hurd family are fun to see, dad, wife, kids... maybe we'll see some cousins one day. Or maybe we just pretend Pauly is the weird uncle. 😂
This whole family video just warms my heart to see. You Hurds personify everything that I like about Canadians! Just decent people living their daily lives working and playing.
What a SPECTACULAR view! This video was a lot of fun, you and your dad are absolutely hilarious together. 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for taking us along. BC is just beautiful!!❤
In this new era of adblocker-less RUclips, it's bloody great to click on a video and not get bombarded every 5 minutes with ads. Thank you Dan. You're a class act, and you have a great channel.
Dan among many others have inspired me to take up panning as a hobby. There is nothing better than spending the day on the river panning. My grand total to date is 1.03 grams. Hahaha! 😂 The time spent searching is where the true value is at!
@@davidervolina7459 Since April of this spring. Just panning but not very often. It's not a money making hobby when you first start. Or ever I have a feeling, but if you aren't out looking you won't find those nuggets!
It is so so beautiful there, what stunning views! And I adore your family, your wife, son and dad. You have probably heard this or read this a million times but you are the double of your pops. And man I wish I lived somewhere so beautiful and tranquil ❤
Love your channel, Dan! ...yep, you can find gold on the top of a mountain! I found a red rusty pile of clay and gravel that got dumped into the middle of a dirt road to block it. I scooped up a bucket of the stuff and found actual pickers in it, along with the tiny chunks and the usual dust. The guys on the road crew didn't know what they were dumping! It was in a gold bearing part of Maine, USA. It's true, gold's where you find it.
Dan, just another great video between you and Jason there is so much anticipation waiting to see the results of your mining operations in the future. The operations involved from blasting, hammering and drilling to final processing within the 2 mines would make for some amazing reality shows.
I love how enthusiastic your Dad is about hammering rocks. I can hear him in his head now, "Son, you ain't gonna talk that rock open. You have to use a hammer."
I love these videos where I get to learn something and it always a bonus when you pop comes along. He reminds me of my dad. Snarky humor that could be so subtle that it hits ya twenty minutes later and just drops ya. Plus, Doug knows how to keep a pressure pump runnin in top condition.
I really like that you can spend time with your Dad! My Dad died in 1982 when I was 23 years old. We never had the chance to become friends. It's a regret that I carry. He ended up with Cancer. Sadly, it leached all of the good out of him before he was diagnosed with it. I have a hope of seeing him again. This is in the Bible, if anyone wants to talk about this send me a message....
I understand the price gold is going up and here in BC there is reexlporation and reopening of a lot of claims. I do wish you the best moving forward. I would be so happy for you to hear you hit it huge. Goodluck Dan.
"Absolutely fascinating! This new gold mine is a game-changer for 2023. The potential and discoveries here are truly incredible. Can't wait to see the future unfold with this remarkable find! 💰✨
I saw a really strong resemblance between Evan and your father in this video. Their expressions and mannerisms, dry sense of humor. Nice trip to get samples. Can't wait to see you at Jason's processing them!
People that say you can't find gold at the top of a mountain obviously don't remember everything that's on top was on the bottom at some point. The earth is the great recycler lol
I really love the ocean picture stone out of your quarry in midway bc. Pretty easy to find your quarry there just based on the power lines. 2 sets of double poles spaced close together with the quarry in between. I drove truck through that area for years hauling packaged gasses to castelgar. Beautiful area. I'll retire there one day. Love your videos. Keepem coming.
Definitely do a ten ton gold sample. That would be really cool to see. Jason's equipment is really amazing. Plus if you smelted it out you could have some cool bars of metal. Would you lose all the copper in the smelt process or could you recover that to?
Beautiful Summit view!!! I can't imagine there are many summit peaks, you can just drive to!! .. amazing! Great use of the peak for the communication equipment too!! Imagine how much money and environmental costs that saves compared to a bunch of towers! I use to be really into Ham radio, plan on getting back to it soon now that I am retired :0)
That was an absolutely fantastic explore as usual Dan. I live in an area of England that has been extensively mined for ironstone and there are also several jet mines/out crops (n. Yorks) so it was good to see a faimiliar looking material. Tip: watch at 75% speed if your relaxing it's almost undetectable and obviously lasts longer 👌🏻
Love you Dan, your dad is awesome, he's definitely gotta get out there with you more often. If he has your knowledge and wisdom you two could really get on some good material in the right place, maybe on your dream claim, your the best can't wait to see what the assays return with, and the other samples run thru Jason's mill and shaker table. Thanks Dan, be safe out there

Hey Dan first greenwood now apex it seems like deja vue as I've been two both those locations 40 yrs ago always wanted to get back to this one .ps I think both are viable today. Thought they were then but life took me in a different direction about 3yrs after lol

In this bitter, cold world, it is so dang good to see people doing something that bring them pure joy!
Even nicer to see people doing something that brings them PURE sorrow!

Hey Dan, hanging out with your Dad.... priceless I tell you. Good day!
What an awesome panoramic view from the top of Apex.
Have a fantastic day everyone!
Beautiful Shot from the mountain top!!!
I've to see how much your Dad supports you and enjoys sharing your interests with you!
Always enjoy it when you bring your dad.

How long has it taken to get 1.03 gs
Hell yeah!
Keep at it!
It took me 5 years to find my first ounce!
And then 1 year to find my second!

Dan: There is nothing wrong in bringing out the toys. Driving up the mountain. Loving the stories.
Regards South Africa 🇿🇦.
Dan, the most impressive shot was the snowman at Yale on the panning reserve ;)
Nothing wrong with this view here @ Mt. Apex with your cool Dad !
Seeing you out and about with your Dad makes me miss my Dad a ton... love this content!
Beautiful landscape Dan. Very nice day at the office. Look forward to seeing what those bags reveal when assayed
Beautiful area and what a great adventure, thanks for sharing
I can see you in your dad. You are both good rock hounds. We like seeing the two of you working together. Good video Dan.
I simply love the places you take us. Thank you Dan.
Dan, ‘’I’m High, in the mountains.’’
Sounds Great !
With the value of gold these old mines might be profitable again, go for it Dan!
Love it! Thanks, Dan and dad.

Father and Son mining duo...what more could you ask for?! Thank you Dan & Dad! 😃
Great video as always love watching you guys explore together.
Who has the better gold mine - Dan or Jason? I don't know yet, but it sure is going to be fun finding out!
Jason!
Both amazing styles of working! No one is better than anyone as it’s a constant learning cycle right?!
Jason's is frickin crazy. However Dan has the better quad, pure gold! 😏
@@Danhurdjason has the capacity to crush and run massive quantities. Dan shakes his hinny to find the shiny more though!
Brilliant 👏

Ya know Dan , when your packing out those bags, its alot easier if you tie 2 together and put them over your shoulder

I keep waiting for the day Dan finds a mine so flooded he has to call a cave diver in to explore it further
Or find a way to drain it
