How do you get max power on a normal dodge shot/red shot? I feel like I can’t get as much power as high level players

the mistake low rank players do when doing purple/gold/red shot is dodging as soon as the ball reaches the car. To get max power on that you must touch the ball first and then delay purple/gold/red a bit. Simply touch the ball and quickly dodge.
