Same here lol. I used to have a Hammer black widow, and I went to an office Christmas Party in December of 2019 at a Pinstripes. I ended up bowling like the worst game I had in a long long time, where I barely broke 100. :( After that, I was trying to get back into it in 2020, but then Covid happened, so I ended up selling that Black Widow and it wasn't until February 2023 when my cousin wanted to go bowling that I finally got back out on the lanes. I rolled a 144 that first game at Bowlero and then we ran out of time during the second game, but I think I was on track for about that same score depending on how frames 8-10 went, since I think we only got through 7 frames. At the time, I only had a Motiv Jackal Ghost and then the Motiv Midnight Sniper as my spare ball. Since then, I added the 900 Global Eternity and the Zen U to my arsenal. I had them drilled at the pro shop, which they were nice enough to get done that same day, so I ended up rolling a couple games right after they got drilled. Ended up shooting a 174 in Game 1 and then a 154 in Game 2. I just ordered a Fate yesterday to add a strong Symmetrical ball to my arsenal and can't wait to try it out on the lanes. :)
Darren Tang is amazing with his bowling lets go yawl, it costs nothing to subscribe, he is a Pro Bowler who is always truthful in his videos and has helped me in my bowling average by 30 pins and I'm disabled, I was averaging 170 and now I'm at 201 between 5 different bowling allies' common let's make Darren proud, let's roll over this goal.

I threw the Fate today at a Matchmaker event and I really liked it! Even as neutral as those are drilled, I actually got some decent motion out of it and I'm a lower-rev lefty!

I really like the one handed vs two handed show here! Vitamin DTang does it all and just makes it look easy! What a ball, I'd say belmo needs to partner up with DTang
"This is not what you came to see is it". Actually it helps me see adjustments as well and if things are not going your way, then what do we do to change that. Change of angle, hand position, and thought process helps me see what the ball can do with all the adjustments.
Bowling is such an incredibly hard thing to get into equipment-wise. RG, cover, surface all mean nothing to new bowlers and even if you know what is stronger or weaker you won't really know how it looks for you. And you can go to youtube and watch DTang, or Belmo, or Chris Barnes or some other top bowler in the world strike with it from every spot on the lane but that doesn't help most people. For new bowlers it's easy, you either recommend a plastic ball or something like a Brunswick twist that could hook a little. After that it's just "spend money on a bunch of different balls to see what you like" as if bowling balls are inexpensive. If I get a $150 ball I'm spending $225 or more once it's drilled. The idea that 4-6 balls is not a lot, when that's a grand is wild.

That spot in the bag is so incredibly crowded with SPI product. Fate, P5, Night Road, Dark Moss, Hyped Pearl. You gotta wonder what they’re thinking loading it up like that.
Sure if you’re bowling league on a house shot, that “spot” could be pretty wide. On the harder stuff, you’ll see a much bigger difference between them.

Belmo has the ability to plant that ball a centimeter to the left gutter, and add loft when he’s too far left. would you suggest this ball for people with lower rev rates that stick to the right but bowl straight down the arrow? Three finger bowler

Mine does not blend. Drilled mine 4.75 by 25 and it goes 45 feet and dead left. I even took a worn 2000 pad to it to take some of the Gloss off of it. Looks like I may have to go down to 1000 and rework the cover to find this blend and reaction that everyone else seems to have.
I just started bowling on league. My phone of course listening to my every move, informed the RUclips algorithm and now I watch your channel. The only ball I currently use is the Idol Cosmos. Hopefully add to that arsenal soon. I was curious how hard it would be to have a graphic showing the boards where you stand?

I am so torn between the zen, idol cosmos, phaze 5, and now the fate for my first symmetric pearl. I rarely need to ball down past my phaze 2 as a lefty, but when I do I have nothing else yet.
Honestly the only ball down that you mentioned is the phaze 5. The rest are about as strong if not stronger than the phaze2. Possibly look at a hustle, hyped or electrify if you want a “weaker” ball.

I kinda like the idea that Belmo finds a ball he likes so he makes one more suited for him. When are you gonna try to do that?

I'm a lower-rev lefty that plays fairly straight down the left side of the lane. I really liked this ball when I threw it yesterday.
