I saw King Sunny Ade several times here in Chicago in the late 1980s and early '90s. A few times at the Equator Club on North Broadway near Lawrence. A few times at the Parkway in Lincoln Park. As well as at the Riviera in Uptown and the House of Blues in River North. Absolutely phenomenal!

Demola Adepoju was a real pioneer, I remember first hearing KSA featuring Demola here in Australia in the 80s, and the sound blew my mind
