If you have watched my grand piano version of this video, I simply unlisted it and is linked on Facebook if anyone wants to view it.
Only after an amateur recording of a grand piano that I really appreciate the convenience of my digital piano. The many options on Synthogy Ivory allows me complete control on how I want the piano to sound.
With regular recording, I couldn't control the room size, reverb amount, timber amount, how heavy or light the key response is, it's just not possible. Plus, I have to deal with the current tuning of the piano itself.
I still need more sessions on the grand piano to really be decent in microphone placement and dynamic control to really do regular performances with (for example, with the grand piano, it was very hard for me to play "ppp" dynamics whereas on the digital it was effortless).
I hope you enjoy this digital piano version as well, I felt more confident playing this one. :D

Um, I thought it was common sense actually. I don't see much of pedal markings in sheet music anymore, other than when the composer wants it to be on a specific section.
Simple, subtle, yet expressive.

I learned piano for a short time when I was young, and this song was the first song I selected myself to practice and complete. 11 years from then, I totally forgot how to play piano but the song and this man tehishter is in my memory. You gave me a happy, precious memory to me and I'm gonna start learning piano again from today. Thank you :)

Yeah, a quite an effort lol. I'm currently focusing on your works as well as Pianeet's transcriptions as it seems (disregarding difficulty), you both love to put motifs and classical characteristics in your arrangements. Very technical, it really helps me improve my own too.

Absolutely astounding... rarely does a piano rendition touch me as much or more than the original song, minus voice and other instruments... your rendition was heart-achingly beautiful, and a perfect transposition of the piece! I love how you chose to keep hitting the bass notes throughout the end chords (your hand was darting like lightening!). I have long piano fingers, so I'm impressed at how well you handled it!! "Gaining" is another topic.
You can gain anything from anything. BUT. How well does one gain that information?
Let's put it this way: Clannad After Story was great because the great execution of storytelling, and having realistic, three dimensional characters.
Keeping that in mind, let's say that someone gained a lot from Guilty Crown. That person could have gained WAY more from the show if the characters were memorable, and the story better executed. That lost potential is why GC is average.

@starfire139 For me, my digital piano keys are REALLY heavy, almost twice as heavy as that of a regular grand piano. That means when I switch to the grand, I have trouble controlling the dynamics because of the key weight and the condition of the piano as well.

I always liked the piano you used for all these videos (this one). You can put a lot of emphasis on whatever notes a lot better. Plus it just sounds great.

OMG OMG OMG, I've been trying to learn this song with only two years of experience.. after 3months of inconsistent practice.. I'm finally able to play upto 0:38 !! This is such a huge milestone for me!
Tolerance is more related to personality I think. For example, if I notice a big mistake in my transcribing after I have uploaded it, it will REALLY bother me. The same goes with anime.
With that said, being way too critical with anime will be a deterrent in enjoying an anime, but being critical in general and with moderation is actually a good thing.
Being critical is what separates a masterpiece like Clannad After Story, to an average Guilty Crown.

I would say the two different piano versions are pretty much equal in greatness, however im pretty sure the reason as to why there isnt many views on this is because of the fact that this is more chilled and relaxed than animenz version. Honestly, as a pianist, I just think animenz version is a bigger challenge and looks like something super fun to play.

Guilty Crown is definitely in my top 20, loved the art style, the music, the action, everything. And a bittersweet ending, akin to Code Geass, Gurren Lagann, Death Note, and Fate Stay Night. :D

I never compared the anime to gurren lagann, I compared the ending to gurren lagann, which had a bittersweet ending like the others I mentioned.

Yeah, Gurren Lagann is way more epic than guilty crown
It was really good up to about episode 12 but after that it got really depressing for me and I didn't like the ending. The soundtrack is brilliant though.
salak mal It's preference. I like Guilty Crown better because I don't like the mecha in Gurren Lagann and I really wanted to stop watching it after season 1, but my brother kept on pushing me to watch it. ;P
